Long Description :

Staff Grade 4

Basic Function :

Maintain and continuously improve the reporting requirements of the Technical Services department, while providing the mission and vision of the group. Provide support functions to the division management team in achieving divisions' mission and objectives.

Job Responsibility :

1. Ensure safety and environmental standards for the Division are complied with.
2. Ensure division reporting requirements are met.
3. Respond to needs of department managers/division VP and provide technical support as required.
4. Develop and implement short-term remediation plans for non-performing areas within the division.
5. Help formulate division budgets as well as project and capital plans.
6. Maintain existing relationships and develop new relationships with external vendors/consultants such that PTFI continues to have access to the best professionals in the industry. The key challenges in this position include:
   • Act as liaison with the Govrel and Jakarta office to handle the reporting requirements for GOI regulations.
   • Manage the Met Accounting processes and procedures, ensuring the systems are in place to be able to accurately produce daily reports of production, as well as reconcile the data stream from ore feed from the mines through to Ship loading at DWP.
   • Planning for and understanding future requirements of the PTFI concentrating division.
   • Analysis and reporting of process data, interfacing with various technical groups in the division, including monthly and quarterly reconciliation reports and earnings estimates, requiring constant communications with New Orleans and FMI Corporate accounting and sales positions.
   • Reporting results to clients (senior and executive management within the company).
   • Assembling teams and solving technical problems. The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are: Minimum Education and Experience
   • Bachelor degree in Metallurgical (mineral processing) in excess of 10 years experience mill metallurgy and operations.
   • Experience in global financial reporting operations. Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters)
   • Metallurgy and Mineral Process knowledge.
   • Understanding of mineral processing business drives.
   • Ability to supervise human resources.
   • Ability to manage long-term and short-term projects.

   • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
