E & I Inspector

Job Description:

  • Responsible of E&I installation & inspection activities on the Site.
  • Installation & inspection of instruments and electrical equipments and panels.
  • Supervise the quality control function on site.
  • Issuing, follow up and approval of NCR and MRs.
  • Inspect Electrical&Instrumental Work carried out by the yard.
  • Conducting different tests such as line check& loop tests carried out by the Yard.
  • Monitoring, review and inspection of all major activities and progress of the E&I construction works.
  • Interface with engineering, planning and procurement as well as other disciplines.
  • Evaluate the installation of the electrical systems and ensures electrical devices and installation/ Test methods adhere to the project electrical codes and standards. When necessary alert contractor of violations or deficiencies or any unsafe condition. If required halt the construction of installations that fail to be in compliance with established standards till discussed and resolved by Yard/ Client management.
  • Prepare precom / commissioning dossier and conduct the activities at construction site.
  • Maintains records of electrical inspection activity and complete inspection reports highlighting his findings.
  • Review contractors tests and inspection methods and witnesses and signs of same as required.
  • Works under the guidance of the construction superintendent and participates in side safety and QA/QC programs as required.
  • Establish and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, side supervision and contractor personnel.
  • Works with contractors to solve unusual electrical problems and confers with design engineer as necessary to ensure compliance.

Requirement:

  • Previous experience on conducting internal quality audit
  • Male, max 45 years old
  • Total 10 years Experience
  • Formal qualification in Electrical/Instrument Engineering
  • Internal Quality Auditor
  • Familiar with project Codes, standards, schedules, etc.
  • Literacy in English with the ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
  • Good problem solving skills are essential.
  • Information technology is increasingly important for managers working on site and in the office, so building up skills in this area is vital.

 

Civil And Structural Inspector

Responsibilities :

  • Monitors and inspects a variety of facility construction projects and installations to ensure compliance with project documents, including major mechanical, electrical, civil, instrumentation and control, telemetry, structural concrete and masonry, structural steel, metal work and welding, painting and coating, asphalt and concrete pavement, earthwork, fittings, valves, vault structures, service installations, irrigation, landscaping and other appurtenant materials used throughout Authority construction.
  • Acts as liaison between the Authority and outside contractors on construction and improvement projects, other agency work and developer or tenant projects; meets and confers with Authority staff, representatives of utility companies, contractors, engineers, businesses and other public agencies regarding construction plans and specifications; coordinates contractor’s activities with the Authority.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in supervising civil construction, steel construction, bridge construction and hauling road.
  • Male, maximum 40 year old with high self motivation, good communication skills and attention to details.
  • Good knowledge in operating Ms. Office, Auto-Cad, Land-desktop/Civil 3D, Structure analysis software, etc.
  • Excellent negotiation skill, hard working, good initiative & teamwork.
  • Good understanding the standard rule of the civil works, earthwork, steel bridge, pilling and road.
  • Sound knowledge in Scheduling, Supervision, Quality Control and Project Administration.
