MINE ENGINEER

​

For Regional & National Recruitment Work Location: Bungku Timur Employment Type: Contract 12 Months

​

Purpose of the Role: Develop the optimal mine planning packages, high quality design, projects development and monitor the implementation in order to support the overall success of meeting the company objectives.

​

Accountabilities:

1. Develop, monitor and control comprehensive mine planning packages—including short- to medium-term scheduling (budget/forecast), mining sequence, Production planning, Ore sales plan, waste dump and stockpile readiness, MHR readiness, release of areas for rehabilitation. to ensure operational execution meets company business targets
2. Develop Conceptual design the pit in term of maximizes mining ore with considering to drainage plan, equipment capability, stripping ratio, disposal capacity and any engineering overviews.
3. Coordinate and establish a short-term monitoring system for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly production achievements with Mine Contractor to detect and prevent deviations from targets.
4. Develop mine plan to support mine technical study as per integrated Business Plan requirement meet the target.
5. Control and monitor assumption to be used for the budget and coordinate the preparation of mine budget (including production and cost profiles, mine development project and critical success factors) to ensure project budget optimization.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree (S1) Mining Engineering
2. Minimum 3 years experience in related field, Mineral experience preferred.
3. Certified Pengawas Operational Pratama (POP)
4. Computer skills software such as Mine Design (Vulcan, Surpac, Deswik, etc), Mine Scheduling (Whittle, MineMax, MineSched, etc), MSS and Access MS project
5. Good Communication and presentation skills in written and Verbal

SENIOR MINE ENGINEER LONG TERM PLANNING

​

Work Location: Sorowako For National Recruitment

​

Purpose of the Role: To develop and provide long-term mine production plans by conducting optimization process to optimize the potential of mineral resources and reserves, ensuring optimal value creation aligned with the business objective and strategic goals of PT Vale Indonesia (PTVI).

​

Accountabilities:

1. Implementing and supervising Environment, Health, Safety, and Risk (EHSR) standards and regulations by managing working conditions, equipment, materials, methods, worker behavior, and the application of 5S within the area of responsibility, with the aim of minimizing risk, ensuring safe conditions (zero harm), clean environment, and achieving work productivity targets.
2. Develop conceptual designs for strategic mining projects in accordance with PTVI standards and in alignment with other sections.
3. Act as Responsible Person of preparing and compiling the annual technical report on Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves (MRMR) by optimizing mineral reserves, utilizing up-to-date data, and coordinating with the Qualified Person (QP).
4. Follow up on all action plan items related to the MRMR risk register, in accordance with the findings of internal and external auditors.
5. Develop the 5-year mine production plan (optimizing production and equipment scheduling), including operating and capital expenditure (OPEX and CAPEX) planning aligned with PTVI’s business strategy.
6. Develop the life-of-mine production plan (covering production, equipment planning, OPEX and CAPEX plans, etc.) by optimizing mineral resources and reserves to maximize IRR and NPV.
7. Conduct technical and feasibility studies for initiatives related to productivity and efficiency improvements in PTVI's mining operations.
8. Support operational readiness for new mining operation areas, including technical assessments, equipment requirement estimation, cost estimation, and financial evaluations.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a related field.
• Strong understanding of nickel laterite.
• Solid knowledge of mine planning, production scheduling, mine optimization, and financial evaluation.
• Strong understanding of mineral resource and reserve estimation methodologies.
• Understanding of the preparation of technical studies and feasibility studies.
• Advanced proficiency in mine planning and optimization software (e.g., Vulcan, Deswik, Minemax, Whittle)
• Valid POM (Middle Operational Supervisor) certification required.
• Competent Person certification in Mineral Reserve Estimation is preferred.
• Experience with GIS software is preferred.
• Computer literate, experience in MS Office Application (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Preferably have experience or knowledge in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System (SMK3L).
