DPA (DESIGNATED PERSON ASHORE)

Requirements:

• Diploma IV (D4) from a Maritime Academy (Nautical/Merchant Marine) or Bachelor Degree in equivalent major
• Holding DPA Certification
• Minimum 5 years of experience as DPA in Shipyard or Shipping Industry
• Experienced in tug and barge and tanker vessel operations is a must
• Proficient in Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and ship management software, with hands-on experience in conducting vessel inspections.
• Strong understanding of tug and barge, tanker vessel operations, machinery, and applicable maritime regulations (ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL)
• Familiar with DPA functions and ISM Code implementation will be an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and fluent in English (both written and spoken)
• Strong hands-on coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willing to be placed at Head Office - South Jakarta and able to join immediately

Job Descriptions:

• Ensure safety, operational efficiency, and environmental compliance across assigned vessels
• Act as a point of contact ashore in supporting the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) in line with DPA function
• Monitor and follow up on safety-related matters, including reporting, non-conformities, and corrective actions
• Conduct vessel audits, routine inspections, and investigations of incidents/accidents
• Coordinate closely with the Master, Chief Officer, and relevant departments regarding vessel operations and safety matters
• Ensure vessels are prepared for internal and external audits (flag state, class, and client inspections)
• Prepare periodic reports on vessel operations, safety performance, and regulatory compliance
