Safety Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure Health & Safety (OHS) compliance and performance across all operations and sites.
• Implement and continuously improve standardized Health & Safety systems, policies, and procedures.
• Provide expert guidance and support to site management, project teams, and contractors on OHS matters.
• Monitor, analyze, and report Health & Safety performance, including leading indicators and incident data.
• Lead and manage incident reporting, classification, and investigation processes, including serious incidents.
• Plan and execute Health & Safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across the organization.
• Develop and implement internal and external audit programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Lead emergency response preparedness and ensure effective implementation across sites.
• Design and coordinate Health & Safety training and awareness programs to support operational teams.
• Conduct regular site visits to support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and manage the Health & Safety team to achieve organizational safety objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties, including contractors and regulatory authorities, to drive a strong safety culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Processing, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Health & Safety roles within mining, construction, petroleum, or processing industries.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial level role, preferably in site-based operations.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety systems, including technical, operational, and administrative principles.
• Proven capability in conducting complex incident investigations.
• Experience in performing safety and risk-based inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders.
