Lead, provide guidance and train a team of Plant Metallurgists and Met Technicians on their day-to-day activities. Support the superiors and Processing Manager to meet KPI and expectations. Also lead development project for Wetar production growth, looking for developable methods, from paper, other plants trial, other correlated leaching process, that could be applied to process current ore.

Senior Metallurgist

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce daily and monthly production reports in a timely manner.
• Establish key operating parameters for the plant and provide systems by which these parameters can be monitored and maintained by the team.
• Lead any debottlenecking projects/activities related to the current emerging issues which has the highest impact to the production.
• Provide formal process for evaluating achievements against performance objectives, drive improvement projects and action identified areas for improvement.
• Identify Plant and process improvement opportunities and lead or assist in troubleshooting Plant, equipment and any process issues.
• Engage with external stakeholders to improve and support the Plant and process.
• Perform trend analysis and optimise the performance of the crushing, heap leach, solvent extraction, electrowinning and neutralisation process to meet the KPI.
• Provide technical assessment for AIM barging composition based on AIM necessity.
• Provide technical input for the department training programs and ensure all employees can earn and apply skills that are aligned with company objectives.
• Provide supervision, guidance, leadership and training to the team of Metallurgical personnel.
• Maintain an effective metal accounting system, participate in department budget compilation and cost control initiatives.
• Track and optimise reagent dosing and consumption.
• Provide technical calculation of production physical and cost forecast for Processing Department.
• Responsible to audit monitoring programs, in compliance with established procedural controls.

Requirements:

• Posses formal education of Bachelor of Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering.
• Have min. 2-3 years of similar position (senior level) in extraction/processing mine site.
• POP certified.
• Well communicate in English, both oral and written.
• Willing to be placed in Wetar, Maluku with roster 4 weeks on-site and 2 weeks off.
• Willingness working on a contract basis.
