GEOLOGIST & GEOTECH ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Develop exploration plans, including drilling, sampling, and geological mapping. Design geotechnical monitoring programs for pits, waste disposal areas, and facility structures.
• Oversee coal sampling and laboratory analysis procedures.
• Supervise the implementation of geotechnical recommendations in the field.
• Monitor updates to geological models in line with ongoing mining developments
• Evaluate coal resource and reserve estimates.
• Perform slope stability analyses and conduct back-analyses in cases of geotechnical failure.
• Develop early warning systems for potential geohazards (e.g., landslides, pit water hazards).
• Coordinate with contractors to optimize the use of geotechnical survey technologies such as inclinometers, drones, and radar.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Geology or Geotechnical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in mining geology or geotechnical roles.
• Proficient in geological software (e.g., Surpac, Minescape) and geotechnical tools (e.g., Slide, Plaxis).
• Capable of conducting geohazard risk analyses.
• Have a POP certificate or recognition as a Competent Geologist/Geotechnical Professional.
• Willing to be assigned to Loreh, Malinau, North Kalimantan.

 

MINE PLAN ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Develop short-term and long-term mine plans.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly mine designs in accordance with technical parameters and production targets.
• Analyze geological and topographical data to support effective planning.
• Evaluate pit designs and mining sequences; optimize disposal areas and haul roads.
• Coordinate with operations, geotechnical, and pit control teams to ensure effective implementation of mine plans.
• Prepare regular reports on mine planning and production progress.
• Utilize mining software to create mine designs and simulations.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Geology.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the coal mining contractor industry.
• Proficient in mining software such as Minescape, Surpac, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
• Experienced in developing both short-term and long-term mine plans.
• Skilled in designing mining infrastructure, including disposal areas, haul roads, and pit limits.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Physically and mentally fit, and not color blind.
• Have a POP (First Operational Supervisor) certificate is an advantage.
• Willing to be assigned to Loreh, Malinau, North Kalimantan.
