PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk is a holding company for a business group engaged in nickel and other mineral mining, processing, and other related activities that are vertically integrated with the strategic mineral value chain and electric motor vehicle batteries. We are looking for experienced and qualified talent to join one of our subsidiary PT Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral (SCM) for the following positions:

 

Exploration Drilling Geologist

Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi

Key Roles:

• Supervise the execution of drilling by contractors to ensure valid drilling data, with a target of 100% accurate drill hole positioning according to the plan.
• Review drilling meterage progress to ensure the depth of each drill hole meets the target and is 100% measured.
• Evaluate contractor performance to facilitate necessary improvements.
• Make decisions to declare a drill hole as failed and require a redrill, and to determine the End of Hole (EOH) based on geological interpretation.
• Provide recommendations for the replacement of drillers or crews and suggest the addition or reduction of drill rigs or assistants based on work progress
• Continuously improve knowledge of drilling methods and systems to keep up with technological advances and operational challenges.

Requirements:

• Minimum educational background of Bachelor's degree (S1) in Geological Engineering/Exploration Mining Engineering, Diploma (D3) in Geological/Mining Exploration.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in exploration drilling, preferably in nickel commodities.
• Must have geological computer skills.
• Must understand drilling operational techniques.
• POP (Pengawas Operasional Pratama) Certificate is preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership, self-confidence, high motivation, and teamwork.

 

 

Grade Control Drilling Geologist

Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi

Key Roles:

• Supervise the execution of drilling by contractors to ensure valid drilling data.
• Continuously maintain and review geological data to ensure information is always updated.
• Ensure the accuracy of sampling procedures and supervise drilling activities according to safety procedures.
• Make decisions to determine a failed drill hole for redrilling and to finish a drill hole (EOH) based on geological interpretation.
• Provide recommendations for replacing crew, and for adding or reducing assistants, crews, or drill rigs based on drilling progress

Requirements:

• Minimum educational background of Bachelor's degree (S1) in in Geological Engineering/Exploration Mining Engineering, Diploma (D3) in Geological/Mining Exploration.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in mine geology or grade control, preferably in nickel commodities.
• Have geological computer skills and an understanding of general drilling operational techniques.
• POP (Pengawas Operasional Pratama) Certificate is preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership, self-confidence, high motivation, and teamwork.

 

 

Grade Control Drilling Leadhand

Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi

Key Roles:

• Lead a drilling team to ensure drilling processes are conducted according to company targets and procedures.
• Supervise the handling of core samples, including their placement into sample boxes and application of field codes to prevent contamination and ensure easy identification.
• Ensure the accuracy of drilling depth measurements and calculations during operations.
• Temporarily stop drilling operations if any activity does not comply with procedures.
• Provide recommendations on contractor team performance to help achieve Grade Control Drilling targets.
• Enforce safety procedures during all drilling operations

Requirements:

• Minimum educational background of High School (SMA), with a preference for Mining Geology Technical High School (STM Geologi Pertambangan).
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in drilling operations within the mining sector.
• Must be able to read maps.
• Must not be colorblind and must be able to read and write.
• AK3 (Safety) Certificate is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead a small team and manage operational progress
