Senior Manager Workshop (Plantations)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading national company with a core focus on plantations. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a senior workshop manager with at least twenty years' experience in a plantation workshop based in Samarinda, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Direct reporting to the Director
• Plan preventive maintenance and repair schedules for machinery, equipment, and vehicles according to manufacturer recommendations and operational needs.
• Allocate labour, spare parts, and budget for workshop activities.
• Create daily, weekly, and monthly work plans for workshop activities.
• Develop and ensure the implementation of clear and effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all workshop activities.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with SOPs and established quality standards.
• Monitor and evaluate workshop performance, including efficiency, costs, and work quality.
• Identify and resolve issues that arise in workshop operations.
• Provide training to mechanics and heavy equipment operators to improve their skills and knowledge.
• Enforce workplace safety standards in the workshop and ensure all workers understand and comply with safety regulations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Workshop/Traction/Transport Manager in a palm oil plantation company.
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery, equipment, and vehicles used in the palm oil industry.
• Relevant certifications preferred.
• Good leadership, communication, and effective interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good problem-solving approach
• Effective relationship management and communication skills
• Able to give and receive feedback, effective communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and effective presentation skills
• Willing to be placed in the Samarinda Representative Office, East Kalimantan.
