PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk is a holding company for a business group engaged in nickel and other mineral mining, processing, and other related activities that are vertically integrated with the strategic mineral value chain and electric motor vehicle batteries.

We are looking for experienced and qualified talent to join one of our subsidiary PT Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral (SCM) for the following positions:

 

Ore Haulage Engineer Superintendent

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bache lor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 3-5 years in supervisory or superintendent-level roles, particularly in haulage operations
• Prior experience in nickel mining and/or laterite ore handling is highly desirable
• Proficient in Fleet Management Systems (FMS) such as Modular, Jigsaw, Wenco, or MineStar
• Familiarity with haul road design and optimization; know ledge of AutoCAD, Surpac, or Civil 3D is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership, team coordination, and communication skills
• POP/POU certification (Pengawas Operasional Pertama/Utama) and AK3UM (Ahli K3 Umum) are required
• Proficiency in English is required; Chinese language skills are an advantage
• Placement: Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi

Key Roles:

• Deve lop and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly ore haulage plans in alignment with production targets
• Monitor haulage operations to ensure optimalfleet utilization and cycle times
• Ensure proper allocation, maintenance, and performance tracking of haulage fleets (e.g., dump trucks, ADTs)
• Analyze equipment productivity, fuelefficiency, and downtime to identify improvements
• Supervise and provide guidance to engineers, supervisors, and operators involved in ore haulage
• Lead initiatives to reduce haulage costs, improve road design, and increase payload efficiency

 

Ore Haulage Foreman

Requirements:

• Minimum of an Associate Degree (D3) in a relevant field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mining operations
• Understand the production flow process in nickel mining
• Knowledgeable in stockpile management, stockpile balance, and ore blending in nickel mining
• Demonstrated leadership, team coordination, and communication skills
• POP certification (Pengawas Operasional Pertama) is required
• Placement: Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi

Key Roles:

• Supervise and control activities at the stockpile to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures
• Coordinate with the supervisor regarding the work plan, number of haulers, and support units to achieve the daily production target
• Supervise and control activities at the FPP weighbridge to ensure operations comply with standard operating procedures
• Prepare daily reports to provide up-to-date information on production, stockpile balance, and production data validation
• Ensure and supervise loader units during the loading process onto hauler/dump trucks

 

Mine Operation Superintendent

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering,
• Mechanical Engineering, Geodesy, or Geology is preferred
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 3-5 years in supervisory or superintendent-level roles, particularly in mine operation
• Strong understanding of heavy equipment utilization with a focus on operational productivity
• Demonstrated leadership, team coordination, and communication skills
• POP/POU certification (Pengawas Operasional Pertama/Utama) and AK3UM (Ahli K3 Umum) are required
• Proficiency in English is required
• Placement: Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi

Key Roles:

• Plan and execute safe, productive, and efficient mining operations, including fleet scheduling, equipment management, and work area evaluation
• Responsible for achieving production targets of ore movement (Limonite & Saprolite), waste hauling, and quarry fleet operations
• Ensure the readiness and availability of production and support equipment through regular coordination with contractors
• Verify daily production data accuracy, prepare regular reports, and present operational updates

 

Mine Development Senior Engineer

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mine development or mine planning in open-pit mining, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role
• POP certification required
• Have active English communication skills
• Proven experience in leading large-scale development projects
• Excellent team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-departmental coordination
• Placement: Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi

Key Roles:

• Lead the formulation and execution of mine development strategies, including infrastructure planning, pit design, and resource access optimization
• Manage cross-functional teams in the execution of mine development activities such as road and drainage construction, pit preparation, dewatering, and haulage optimization
• Review and validate engineering designs, geotechnical studies, and hydrogeological assessments. Ensure alignment with operational objectives and safety standards
• Provide technical nical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and field staff. Review and approve their work to ensure quality and compliance
• Monitor budgets, track project milestones, and assess development risks. Recommend mitigation strategies and improvement initiatives
