Supervisor Mechanic (926823)

(Balikpapan)

In this role, you will:

  • Leading the operation and maintenance Heavy Equipment, day-to-day both Plant TMRP and Kariangau yard operations including production, logistics and maintenance while ensuring compliance with all labor, safety, environmental and corporate policies and regulations
  • Develop and manage the strategies, plans and budgets as agreed with the site as client to achieve the organizational and financial objectives of the company
  • To ensure targets and objectives within each area of the business are met
  • Provide a customer focused approach throughout the TMRP staff as necessary for the future development of the business, proactively promoting the TMRP
  • Provide leadership to personnel on the work front in all aspects of each and every activity
  • Working together and cooperate with team to acomplish the task
  • To take and give opinion for team development
  • Lead by example for sub ordinate
  • Plant concept and operation
  • An awareness of plant operation regulatory requirements

EOI - Senior Engineer Plant (926825)

(Balikpapan)

In this role you will:

  • To provide strategy plan, methodology, ensure compliance of the team for engineering & technical support in TCRC project
  • Review mechanical application in all workshops and PDCA for engineering improvement & communicate initiatives
  • Instrumental in key decisions on technical support needed by TCRC (minor/major asset, parts vendor, rebuild system, etc.)
  • Conduct regular repair supply vendor audits and maintain good communication with them
  • Complete specific analysis on reliability, cost, labour hours, etc as required by the TCRC rebuild teams and management
  • Lead the engineering team; rebuild specialists, QA/QC officers, QA/QC assistants which manage following tasks ; a. Product/component failure analysis & technical support, b. Quality issue in rebuild process, mentor and guide the 'SWP/How to' processes, c. Offsite repair management, d. Plant/facility inspection & maintenance
  • Establish working/cordial relationships by demonstrating effort to co-operate with employees at all levels
  • Deal with issues at the workplace in a flexible, friendly and co-operative manner
  • This position act as the leader of engineering team
  • Be fluent with mechanical engineering software in order to support TCRC engineering. Eg. Autocad
  • Maintain current and strive to improve technical skills and competencies
  • Be able to identify technical deficiencies with components and/or processes

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, minimum
  • 6 Years' experience in heavy duty equipment engineering repair management
  • Teamwork - works effectively with others and relates to fellow workers
  • Has a technical engineering qualification and background

 

EOI - Senior Specialist Learning & Development (926824)

(Contract Based - Jakarta)

In this role, you will:

  • To provide support to the Learning & Development section in implementing the TCI Staff development plans
  • To provide Thiess with course design support in creating effective and engaging learning environments informed by desired learning outcomes
  • To provide training to employees through workshops, webinars, video tutorials etc. regarding topics related to soft skill training and leadership
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer through consultation with subject matters experts and user managers
  • Identify target audience's training needs
  • Create course materials and development activities that matches the training needs for delivery by face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online courses
  • Assists with conversion of face-to-face courses to hybrid and online formats
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, podcast, simulations, role plays, games etc)

Senior Supervisor Mining (926822)

In this role, you will:

  • Co-ordinate staff to work safely, productively, efficiently, and effectively as an integrated team.
  • Lead, demonstrate and educate the employees to embrace a work environment free from discrimination, where everyone is included and treated with respect.
  • To actively organize, assist and push the Supervisor to properly supervise the work teams to deliver production quantities and results which meet the agreed dig plan for the shift.
  • To plan ahead to set up the operation in good shape for the oncoming shift.
  • Lead, organize and provide direction for employees to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business result.
  • Actively cooperate with other fellows Senior Supervisor/Superintendent to control the coal mining operation and pumping operation to maintain planned quality parameters.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, statutory obligations and Thiess policy

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Applicants should have a minimum graduated from Senior High School; requires a minimum 5 years' professional experience in similar role as Supervisor Mining in large open cut mining operation
  • Mining heavy industry experience is essential; could operate mining equipment
  • Good leadership and people management skills preferably with training in staff supervision; have ability in resource planning and OHS&E supervision; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English; be able to operate computer; conflict resolution; sound decision making skills; Posses POP (Pengawas Operasional Pratama) certification at Mine and Energy Department; be able to work on shift roster (day and night shift).

 

Officer Warehouse (926822)

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for the management of Inventory, PEX Component Routable and Direct charge.
  • Review and monitoring of all Warehouse issue, storage, allocations, inventory levels and Direct charge.
  • Maintenance and distribution of KPI's in relation to all Warehouse Operation performance
  • Responsible for the management and coordination of all Warehouse and Purchasing section
  • Liaise with the Balikpapan and Jakarta Procurement and Logistic departments to efficiently expedite materials to site.
  • Ensuring that the best pricing and practices are put into place and monitored in relation to maximize the best financial outcome for the Project.
  • Daily communication with the Plant Superintendents in Melawan and Thiess Workshop in relation daily activities, expediting priorities, reviews, and reports.
  • Responsible for the management of the JDE Warehouse computerized Inventory System.
  • Monthly Store evaluations of Stock and Direct Charge Materials.
  • Management of the Fuel and Oil requirements, shipping, receipts, and daily stock-takes, and reconciliation's.
  • Managing the correction of daily cost committed, follow up with journal and reversing cost in the system

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Minimum Degree in High School or Diploma 3 in Accounting / Administration with related experience
  • Minimum 3 years' work experience in: Warehouse especially Inventory area
  • Able to communicate in verbal and written English.
  • Computer literature : Medium / Advance Skill in Excel

Superintendent Mining (926372)

In this role, you will:

  • To co-ordinate all mining supervisors in the workplace of the removal of overburden/inter burden in a safe, effective manner on time and within budget in a designated area.
  • Ensure the selection of projects that match objectives of Business Plan by ensuring risks in tender and contract conditions are recognised and accounted for.
  • Plan, direct, monitor and reconcile the technical aspect of the mining operations including daily, short to long term (annual) plans, operational performance, blast design and sequencing, rehabilitation, drainage and road design, to assist in achieving agreed production targets.

Supervisor Auto Electric (926813)

In this role, you will:

  • To apply Thiess Governance System and plant procedures within the work force in relation to safety/environment, maintenance planning, recording/registering, quality of workmanship, leadership & organize of workshop personnel.
  • To plan and coordinate the shutdown, repair and service of equipment according to TGS Plant Department policies and procedures to ensure availability targets and budget are achieved.
  • Lead, organize and provide direction for employees to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business results.
  • Plan and co-ordinate an effective repair and service of equipment to achieve department goal by availability 90%, MTBS 60 hours and MTTR 6 hours.
  • Reduce unnecessary expenditure and costs in order to achieve maximum efficiency and profitability in all areas within the Plant Department.

  • Managing bus transportation (Thiess Owned buses and Vendor buses)
  • Managing roster of bus drivers to comply operational coverage
  • To lead and manage subordinates under bus transportation and GA section
  • Liaise with bus Vendor Coordinator in day to day bus vendor operational
  • Follow up and to discipline any violation to all bus drivers

Surveyor (926814)

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the Senior Surveyor to manage and co-ordinate survey office/field activities to provide appropriate survey service to construction, mine planning, reconciliation and design personnel to enable accurate design, construction and mine planning of all site activities
  • Leads in survey related technology & instrumentation application on site
  • Interface daily with the other members of the Project team to obtain priorities and deadlines for various field/planning/scheduling requirements
  • Ensure survey of all geological/geotechnical events are conducted promptly to allow information to be analyzed promptly and corrective measures be implemented.
  • Ensure all survey equipment is always handled with care.
  • Ensure survey LV's are serviced as per schedule and inspected daily as per project requirements.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Applicants should have a minimum degree in Surveying/ Geodetic Engineering with 3 years' experience as Surveyor;
  • Proficient in construction technology, Engineering and Surveying Principles, Surveying Equipment and applications, Engineering and Surveying software, industry standards and best practice, HS&E, Surveying and Engineering software, and computer data management and manipulation; should Understanding of various types of highway construction components such as substructure, superstructure, embankment etc.; understand and implement the Design & Project Management Plan; understand the approval process for Design Approvals; team culture and experience in design management;
  • Accordance with the Standards, Specifications, Schedules, QA/QC, Safety, Environmental and Program requirements and are within budgeted cost levels.
  • Independent and mature personality, self-motivated, results driven and good negotiation skills; high initiative; performance driven; good planning skill; good communication skills and proficient in written and spoken English.

 

Engineer Mining (926799)

In this role, you will:

  • Evaluate and analyse project performance data related to productivity, cost & safety utilising company's standard systems in order to ensure data reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of the short term detailed mine execution plans to integrate with the mining operations.
  • Monitor and coordinate engineering activities to ensure efficient production of engineering plans to meet contract program requirements.
  • Analyse and identify engineering problems in order to propose solutions and expedite actions regarding the client agreement where necessary.
  • Review client plans and requests to ensure the requirements defined are incorporated in the works and the responsibilities allocated under the project quality system and understood and implemented.
  • Prepare data for the progress claim report to be reviewed by the Engineering Superintendent
  • Collect data related to subcontractor performance in order to prepare summary reports required for the project
  • Support and cooperate with site survey team in order to analyse progress surveys and haul profile surveys.
  • Coaching and mentoring of graduate mining engineers, mining engineers and technical assistants in order to provide technical support.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Graduated from Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Mining projects
  • Certified in POP from Mine and Energy Department.
  • Proficient in geological modelling, mine planning (Mincom) and other general office software (Microsoft), XPAC, TALPAC
  • Proficient in Mining Principles, Mine design concepts and mining methods.
