LEGAL MANAGER

Job Summary:

  • Coordinate and ensure the provision of high quality in-house legal services for the Premier Oil Indonesia business by supporting the Indonesia Senior Management Team, and advise them where non-compliance occurs or is likely to occur. Monitor Premier’s compliance with contractual requirements, local and international laws and regulations, and internal policies and procedures including code of conduct.
  • Provide an in-house review and advisory capability around legal issues for all Indonesia assets and projects.
  • Deliver advice to, and represent the business for all legal and related matters.
  • Draft, negotiate and review documents for general commercial transactions, and in the confidential exchange of information including new block acquisition process.
  • Develop effective client relationships and act as Management’s legal representative in negotiation with Government institution (SKK Migas, Migas, ESDM, Kemenkeu), (potential) Partners and Buyers.
  • Administer company legal files, monitoring all deadlines and obligations, and act as company representative on legal matters to outside institutions and stakeholders.
  • Strengthen Premier Indonesia’s Legal processes and systems to ensure compliance to various laws and regulations including but limited to PTK 007.
  • Instruct approved external counsel as required if in-house legal resources cannot deliver required legal support in the required time-frame, if specialist legal advice is required, or the matters are of high value or strategically / politically sensitive.
  • Own, control and update (as required) the Premier Indonesia Code of Conduct system, Legal BMS, proforma contracts and other Legal Documents.
  • Manage and supervise the staff members of the Legal Department and ensure they work efficiently on various legal issues.
  • Advise VP Legal, Commercial & Planning if in-house resource constraints are apparent / likely and Report regularly to on general activities, increasing frequency where issues arises with a high degree of political sensitivity, very high $ value, or are of key strategic importance.
  • Ensure HSES principles embedded in all contracts & legal documents as appropriate.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor Degree in Law with strong academic credentials (Master of Laws or LLM is preferable).
  • Membership of industry and professional bodies – having PERADI (advocate) license is a plus.
  • 15 years of experience in an in-house position and/or in a leading Law Firm or an upstream oil and gas organisation, with 5 years in a Leadership / Management role.
  • Oil and Gas industry knowledge from a Legal perspective is highly regarded.
  • High degree of competency in reviewing and drafting legal documents.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in GSA and/or LNG Contract is preferable.

 

GEOPHYSICIST

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing geophysical technical expertise to Andaman Sea Exploration team in Exploration department to support achievement of company objectives.

  • Ensure deliverables of geophysical technical expertise are in compliance with company requirements, codes, standards and best practices.
  • Perform prospect, volumetrics & risking analysis to identify potential reservoir and hydrocarbons.
  • Optimise well locations using geophysical data in well planning process.
  • Provide input into life of field surveillance plans, appraisal plans for future developments.
  • Provide expertise in the formulation of Reserves Support Packages.
  • Analyse the mechanisms driving changes in the seismic image due to reservoir production, and how to forward / inverse model the relationship between reservoir changes and seismic attributes.
  • Perform seismic-based sequence-stratigraphy and develop models to make predictive evaluations for petroleum exploration.
  • Establish fit-for-purpose conceptual development plans and production profiles exploration prospects.
  • Provide expertise to support well planning, well operations and drilling, including wellsite geology, hazard identification, well trajectories, site survey acquisition and data acquisition programmes.
  • Perform seismic acquisition & processing (e.g. offshore, onshore & VSP) using 2D & 3D seismic survey design.
  • Provide support to establish economic valuations in regards with geophysical aspects (e.g. discounted cash flows, NPV, IRR and PIR, and EMV).
  • Contribute to licence requirements (e.g. PSC and JOA terms, internal and JV budget and AFE process) with adherence to budgets and timeframes.
  • Develop routine and non-routine reports to management in regards with geophysics related activities.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor degree in Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering or Earth Sciences.
  • 10 years of experience as geophysicist in upstream Oil and Gas industry.
  • In depth knowledge of Geophysics in upstream oil & gas industry.
  • Experienced with performing geophysical evaluation of exploration opportunities in support of block acquisition and drilling investment decisions.
  • Strong technical understanding of exploration and related essential disciplines.
  • Knowledgeable in the latest geophysical technologies, methods, and best practices.
  • Knowledgeable in exploration geology & geophysics.
  • Computer literate with advanced knowledge of computer systems and software used in the exploration, development and production of oil & gas (e.g. Geoframe, Kingdom Suite, Petrel, Tunnel O, GS Log, Neura Map/Log, Arc GIS, Petroview, HIS Probe Basin Mod, and Ms. Office).
  • Knowledgeable in oil & gas exploration and production business including the principles and application of discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Fluent in written & spoken English.

 

GEOLOGIST

Job Summary:

  • Perform play fairway analysis using PLAYER for GDE mapping, integration of petroleum systems modelling results, and CRS maps to predict potentially prospective play fairways.

RISK MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for ensuring risk management process of PONSBV in Indonesia Business Unit to achieve commercial profitability in accomplishing company goals.
  • Identify and deal with key issues related with risks in the oil & gas business, and how to manage & minimize those risks to maximize profitability in achieving company goals.
  • Compile & analyse data on company business performance and latest industry trends to develop risk management report.
  • Perform evaluation & mitigation of risks facing Indonesia Business Unit (BU).
  • Develop risk management plan in coordination with respective departments and stakeholders.
  • Deliver risk management plan for senior management to assess and mitigate current & potential business risks.
  • Provide risk management recommendations for current company situation and future business plans.
  • Provide expertise regarding risk management aspects in the development of annual BU audit programme.
  • Conduct risk management reviews and workshops to help Indonesia BU identify, monitor and manage its risk exposure. Develop Risk Level Matrix for the QPR.
  • Provide expertise and coaching to BU risk owners and sponsors as needed to help them define their risks, proficient at the controls and mitigations required to manage these risks, and ensure they maintain their risks in the ARROW risk register.
  • Maintain up to date on latest information of the oil & gas industry and overall global economy.
  • Develop routine and non-routine reports to management on risk management matters.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor degree in Management, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • 10 years of experience in Risk Management in oil & gas industry.
  • Strong planning, organising & prioritisation skills.
  • Strong negotiation & influencing skills.
  • Proficient on group risk management Policy, Standard & Procedures and their implications and application in the BU.
  • Knowledgeable on Government of Indonesia Regulations in oil and gas industry (PTK’s).
  • Understand overall PONSBV and oil & gas industry business process.
  • Computer literate and proficient with MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Fluent in English, both written & spoken.
