ENGINEER – CIVIL (CPHD)

(Fixed Term Position)

 

Key elements of the position include:

  • Lead and monitor of all non-pit roads (seal road) maintenance, include drainage, pond, earthwork, slope stability, bridge, stockpile, etc.
  • Create design, costing and develop specifications for road, drainage and earthwork projects in general.
  • Support Procurement in preparing tender documents for prebid meeting and subsequent technical clarification to find the best Contractor for the project.
  • Conduct problem investigations which are identified in the areas and support the investigations with relevant data such as road condition and dimension, load and frequent traffic, and other factors extracted from technical guidance, and field conditions. Results, conclusions and recommendations should be presented in a formal written report to the Superintendent.
  • Preparing cost calculation for section’s projects and operations based on standards, and prepare Capital Expenditure Application’s draft.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in Civil is essential with at least 3 years prior experience in a Civil Work.
  • Have good civil work design analysis skills and must be able to check design results in at least in two different ways.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, relevant reports - usually with detailed recommendations. Ideally these reports should be in English language.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills, both in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Ability to work with structural civil software and/or storm water drainage & hydraulic software.
  • Having a good knowledge of general health, safety and environmental procedures and standards in construction.

 

ENGINEER – CONDITION MONITORING (CPHD)

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  • Supervise the contractor on the data acquisition of condition monitoring works (vibration measurement, thermographic survey, oil sampling).
  • Make sure the analyis of condition monitoring data is carried out properly and reported to stakeholders.
  • Supervise the contractor on the process of machine alignment and balancing.
  • Manage minor mechanical engineering projects.
  • Demonstrate and encourage acceptance and implementation of KPC HSE programs and practices.
  • Control project/contract expenditures within limitations of budget.
  • Determine improvement target; find inefficiency root causes; determine and implement action plan; measure results; standardize; and continue the same process to other costly or inefficient programs using continuous improvement methods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree (S1) Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years’ Experience in Condition Monitoring Works.
  • Vibration Analyst Level 1 Certificate from reputable organization is preferred.
  • Sound problem solving and decision making competencies.
  • Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to influence and deal with a diverse range of personnel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.  Skills in both English and Indonesian, to liaise with internal and external contacts.
  • Strong concerns for HSES.

 

ENGINEER – MECHANICAL (PORT FACILITIES)

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  • Evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly port operation and maintenance performance such as plan versus actual.
  • Analyse, review and provide feedback to contractor related to port operation and maintenance activities.
  • Review and modify (if necessary) the monitoring system to spare parts for the availability and movement in order to ensure that parts are adequate to minimize the operation disruption.
  • Conduct weekly inspection especially to the high risk potential failure are in the plant to identify earlier the potential severe failure that can impair the production.
  • Oversee and control contractor’s activities based on contractual agreement in implementing coal processing and barging operational plan.
  • Monitor the progress of all operational, maintenance, safety and logistic activities ensuring that delivery is within the program timeline and in accordance with the budget and KPC safety standards and requirements.
  • Liaise with key PT. Dire Pratama, PT. Darma Henwa, PT. Trans Coal Pacific and other related contractors contacts to coordinate coal haulage, processing, and barging requirements and standards, and address specific concerns, and provide interface with relevant KPC divisions as required.
  • Demonstrate and encourage acceptance and implementation of KPC HSE programs and practices.
  • Manage and undertake annual budget planning tasks and related project work that includes production schedule and costing.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate and efficient operating procedures and practices; apply the most optimum way in running every department’s program; negotiate with suppliers, contractors and external consultants.
  • Control expenditures within limitations of project/contract budget
  • Determine improvement target, find inefficiency root causes, determine and implement action plan, measure result, standardise, and continue the same process to other costly or inefficient programs using improvement methods.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary education in Mechanical from a reputable university.
  • As a guide, a minimum of 4 years’ experience in bulk material handling, crushing plant and conveyor system.
  • Computer software literate (Excel spread sheet, word processor, project management, and AutoCAD software).
  • Understand and experience in the design of mechanical (crushing, conveyors etc.) and piping pump installation, operation and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiations and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate conceptual skills, ability to manage and resolve conflict situations.

 

ENGINEER – PROCESS PERFORMANCE

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  • Monitor power generating process and conduct daily assessments of the relevant sections of shift operation reports.
  • Alert Shift Superintendent of risks and problems and conduct investigations of problems identified.
  • Support investigations with relevant flow sheets and data on equipment condition, operating conditions, and other factors extracted from power plant databases and from operations personnel or other sources.
  • For short-term operational or safety problems, make recommendations to shift superintendent, supervisors and control room operators.
  • For more significant problems which require modifications to plant or to operational or control strategies, submit written reports and discuss with Superintendent.
  • Conduct special investigations with the objective of improving power generation or reducing costs, which may include trials of alternative processing equipment.
  • Perform tasks delegated by superintendent related to power coordination and administration, direct and monitor power plant laboratory work activities in order to meet all generation and distribution targets and to ensure that all activities are carried out to the required.
  • Promote and reinforce compliance with the KPC SOP, HSE rules and regulations among all employees.
  • Monitor HSE aspects of projects activities.
  • Provide feedback to plan and maintain optimum manning within operation group.
  • Foster teamwork spirit and create a workplace culture among employees consistent with the KPC values.
  • Provide feedback to Supt on applying the most optimum design, work method and material to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Determine improvement target; find inefficiency root causes; determine and implement action plan; measure results; standardize; and continue the same process to other costly or inefficient programs using continuous improvement methods.

Qualifications:

  • S1 Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Power Plant Operations.
  • Sound problem solving and decision making competencies.
  • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence and deal with a diverse range of personnel.
  • Sound project management competency.
  • Financial skills to handle project and budget responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication. Skills in both English and Indonesian, to liaise with internal and external contacts.

 

SPECIALIST – APPLICATION SYSTEM (ERP)

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  • Analyse user’s requests for developing new requirements to ensure the existing systems can accommodate the needs.
  • Develop user’s requirements statements in details to formulate the application designs.
  • Design the applications based on the user’s requirements and taking into account the existing systems.
  • Develop the application programs using specific software tools relevant to the programming language.
  • Liaise with suppliers or consultants when the development of the applications required knowledge and resources beyond the current Company’s capabilities.
  • Test the developed application programs in the test environment to ensure no error.
  • Deploy the tested and error-free application programs in the production environment.
  • Monitor daily process to detect any errors or to prevent any predicted errors and take proper actions to ensure the application systems are in good operation at all times.
  • Investigate database problems reported by users to identify and troubleshoot the errors.
  • Administer the ERP applications to accommodate changes due to user movement and organisation restructuring.
  • Test patches of new features and new software releases developed by vendors in the test environment to ensure the patches are suitable for the existing systems.
  • Ensure all data required for month-end and year-end processes are complete.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end processes to produce reports required by the Company’s Accounting department.
  • Maintain security of personnel and business data.
  • Evaluate the current application programs and initiate improvement to maximise functionality of the systems.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification (S1) in Information Technology, Commerce or others with 6 years’ experience in commercial computing environments encompassing integrated systems, PC knowledge, programming and business analysis.
  • Experienced as Oracle database administrator is a plus.
  • Possess extensive experience and proven skills in IT management, preferably in the mining or oil and gas industry.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills in both English and Indonesian to liaise with KPC personnel and external suppliers and dealers.
  • Knowledge of Ellipse or similar systems would be a distinct advantage.

 

SPECIALIST – MAINTENANCE TRAINING

(Fixed Term Position)

Key elements of the position include:

  • Develop learning outcomes from data provided as a result of training needs analysis conducted in the position’s particular discipline area.
  • Develop lesson plans from a list of learning outcomes in order to provide a consistent approach to the delivery of a competency development program.
  • Deliver Off and/or on the job training for KPC employees in order to raise skill and competency levels.
  • Conduct training in a manner which will encourage and motivate trainees to want to learn.
  • Monitor trainee progress in learning during training sessions and provide appropriate feedback.
  • Assess course participants to ensure that learning outcomes have been met.
  • Record trainee attendance and assessment results accurately to ensure integrity of Alesco training data base and to provide accurate feedback to customers.
  • Resource and/or develop appropriate training materials to support effective module delivery.
  • Liaise with customers as required to provide information on training course and training administration, receive feedback on all matters related to training activities and to determine training needs.
  • Maintain an awareness of one’s own career development needs and be proactive in the improvement of skills, knowledge and competencies required to further improvement one’s own performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum SLTA or STM on automotive or electrical with above 10 years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Possessing experience as Maintenance Trainer or competency Assessor would be preferable.
  • Computer literate and excellent skill in designing and developing training manual.
  • Excellent organizing and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) in both bahasa Indonesia and English.
