Job Title: Specialist - Engineering
About the role
We are currently seeking a Specialist - Engineering role at our KNI Bontang Plant in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. This role will be reponsible for leading to Mechanical Engineer and the Mechanical Maintenance Teams. The accountabilities will cover compliance with Company & Statutory Engineering Standards by appointment as the responsible Mechanical Engineer for the Bontang Site. This position will report to Reliability Manager and will work on a Monday to Friday roster.
What you will be doing
- Ensuring Orica’s safety value applied in daily operations consistently;
- Ensuring that the requirements set by Orica for a Company Responsible Mechanical Engineers isachieved : PI-02 Critical Machine System, PI-05 Machine Guarding, TM-02 Mobile Powered Equipment, PW-04 Excavation/Break-In Authority, PW-06 Working at Heights Authority;
- Ensuring compliance with Orica Standards and Model Procedures for mechanical systems;
- Actively participate in site continuous improvements;
- Provide leadership, coaching and technical support to Mechanical and Process Teams;
- Developing and implementing Projects safely on KNI Bontang Site.
What you bring
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent, majoring in ratoating (desirable);
- 8+ years continuous manufacturing experience, preferably in Chemical Industry or major hazard facility;
- HAZOP & SHE Management experience;
- Having experience in variety of mechanical roles in a large industrial plant, including design, operation and maintenance of conveyors, compressors, fans, turbine, pumpus, vesseks and piping;
- Experience in use of condition monitoring equipment; vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermograph;
- Knowledge and experience in use of RCM & RBI concept;
- Knowledge and experience in use of mechanical standards : ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM
- Understanding of Indonesia regulations for mechanical equipment.

Job Title: Technician - Electrical
About the role
Kaltim Nitrate Indonesia (KNI) is a joint venture company between Orica and Armindo Group. It is an Ammonium Nitrate manufacturing facility located in Bontang, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. We are currently seeking an Electrical Technician role at our KNI Bontang Plant. This role will be responsible for providing a safe and efficient plant maintenance and shutdown systems for the manufacturing complex and to minimise down time by safely achieving effective use of resources. This position will report to Reliability Electrical Team Leader and will work on Monday to Friday roster.
What you will be doing
- Perform skilled journey-level work in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, apparatus and fixtures used at Bontang plants;
- Supports the Reliability Electrical Team Leader; acts in his absence, inclusive of Contractor Callouts, Work Order Allocation, Material Requisitions;
- Refocusing Maintenance from low indenture PM and CBM to Predictive and Proactive Maintenance Modes by practicing and implementing equipment diagnostic and prognostic instrumentation and technologies;
- Ensuring work compliances to standards, tolerances and fits & working in accordance with sound engineering practices on all jobs under his purview, both On-Site and occasionally in Contractor Workshops; includes reading P&ID’s, Technical Literature and Equipment Manuals;
- Ensuring electrical spare parts availability for scheduled and projected jobs inclusive of spare inventory (physical) checking and stock inspections and preliminary liaison with Suppliers and Vendors for proposals etc;
- Performing Equipment Problems Trouble-shooting and Basic Root Cause Analysis and Development of Solutions;
- Work with Supervisor or Engineer on either Large and Special Program or Revamp of plant ancillary equipment maintenance as directed;
- Ensure of Liaison with & assisting other Engineer as required;
- Responsible for station lockout/tagout procedures as mandated by company policy.

- High Voltage (HV)’ in level of: High Voltage Attendant, HV System Architecture, Assist with HV Switching operations
- Programmable Logic Control (PLC)’ in level of: Basic PLC, Perform basic PLC functions and Practical PLC use
- Plant Process Knowledge’ in level of: Basic Plant Process Knowledge, P&ID Tracing
- Plant Modifications & Inventory Management’
- SAP & Personal Computer Skills’ in level of: Microsoft Excel Basic, Microsoft Word Basic, SAP Basic
- Understand of problem solving method including Root Cause Analysis;
- Ability to work in different cultures;

Job Title: Team Leader - Open Cut KPUC Separi
About the role
We are currently seeking a Team Leader at our KPUC Separi Site Operations in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The primary purpose of this role is to lead a quality service of bulk explosive delivery to customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner at all times, working closely with Bench Assistants and MMU Operators on site, Shotfirers and Site Supervisor and managing all tasks associated with loading, tying and firing blasts. This position will report to Site Supervisor and will work on 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off roster.
What you will be doing

- Provide leadership, coaching and support for operations team;

- Working effectively across multiple cultures;
- Ensure operational process meets Orica standards and customer’s expectations.

- Having a minimum Senior High certificate;

- Having POP cetificate will be preffered;

- Able to operate computer and familiar with microsoft office;
- Excellent and effective writen and verbal communication skills both in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

About the role
We are currently seeking an MMU Operator role at KPUC Separi Site in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. This role will be assisting the Team Leader to provide a quality service of bulk explosive delivery to customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner at all times, to operate plant and equipment providing the delivery of blasting products and services to our customer sites. This position will report to Team Leader and will work on 6 weeks on & 2 weeks off roster.
What you will be doing
- Complying with the requirements of the Orica Safety Charter, Operating procedures and standards;
- Participationg in daily toolbox and safety meetings;
- Ensuring raw materials and dangerous goods are used, handled and stored according to SDS requirements;
- Maintaining profesional relationship within Orica and with customer to meets their needs.
What you bring
- Having operational experience in mining industry (preferable);
- Ability to operating heavy equipment / vehicle;
- Experience with Permit to Work System;
- A minimum Senior High gtaduation;
- Ability to identify unsafe conditions and stop operations if appropriate.
