We are seeking experienced people for the following positions:

SPECIALIST TRAINING MINING - 925970

(GBU)

Some of your duties will include:

  • To train and assess TCI mining operations personnel in all aspects of mining operations in order to achieve maximum productivity with a high focus on safety. This will include delivery of mining operations operator, mining L/H, mining trainer and supervisor training and assessment;
  • Provide Heavy equipment training such as: Excavator, Bulldozer, Truck, Grader, compactor and other support equipment in construction business for Thiess personnel in order to increase the productivity, maintenance and improve personnel's capability.
  • Assist in the design of training material which is relevant to used competency standards;
  • Develop the skills proficiency of workplace trainers and assessors
  • Actively involved in maintain and monitor of training equipment used for training activities and provide report to superiors when noncompliance found;
  • Provide accurate report and feedback of training activities to site supervision and TCI Training & Development supervisors in order to keep the alignment systems between Training & Development and sites and assist in database improvement.


What skills and experience do you need?

  • Minimum graduated from Senior High School/ vocational school or similar with minimum of 10 years' experience within the mining and/or construction industry as a HE Operator;
  • 3-5 years' experience as a mining operations trainer and or supervisor; familiar with Heavy earth moving equipment operator codes including truck and/or excavator/dozer/grader/wheel loader; Highway truck codes; Certificate IV in Workplace Training; POP Certification;
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal); facilitation skills; presentation skills; have self-confident, familiar with work in under pressure and computer literacy.

 

SUPERINTENDENT PLANT - 926081

(GBU)

Some of your duties will include:

  • Lead and manage plant operational activities on site;
  • Ensure plant operational activities are completed in a safe, timely, efficient, environmentally aware and cost conscious manner;
  • Ensure all mechanical inspection are carried out in detail and filed correctly;
  • Ensure all necessary actions are taken to rectify any faults identified by the inspections, in accordance with the correct procedures ;
  • Quality assurance for all workshop and field tasks, achieved by continual monitoring of work in progress and the procedures that are being used;
  • Ensure there is effective utilisation of plant personnel and resources to achieve optimum performance in all facets ;
  • Ensure when approving store issues that that parts are required and the most cost effective repair option is being used, this includes the option of alternative brand parts
  • Participate in the planning process to manage forward purchasing activities for components and parts;
  • Manage the relevant mobile and static plant assets to ensure 90%and 100% availability by proactive and continuous improvements to the asset base;
  • Lead, organise and provide direction for employees to ensure required performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business results;
  • Proactively train workforce to meet plant operational requirements;
  • Liaise with OEM's, Dealers and Suppliers to optimise plant operational and cost performance.


What skills and experience do you need?

  • Have minimum Trade Qualifications or Maintenance / Engineering qualification with minimum 15 years trade experience in mining/heavy equipment; Staff Management;
  • Understanding the heavy plant business; People handling skill; diagnostic skills in all aspects of mechanical repairs;
  • Mechanic experience on Thiess equipment e.g. Cat, Komatsu, Liebherr, Coal hauling and lifting equipment;
  • Knowledge of welding procedures;
  • IT Literacy
  • OHS&E requirements Legislative and statutory requirements
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills; Strong Mentoring skills; Good analytical skills; Strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian coal operations to world class international safety standards. You should also be able to clearly demonstrate previous results together with a pro-active commitment towards safety whilst having attained the teamwork and respect of local communities and adherence to relevant environmental standards;

SUPERVISOR MECHANIC Tr/Dz/Gr - 925823

Some of your duties will include:

  • Ensure that the maintenance department goals are achieved
  • Ensure maximum communication levels are maintained between workshop and operations personnel regarding breakdowns safety issues and prioritizing of equipment repairs.
  • Ensure to accurate the completion of daily breakdown report
  • Analysis of component condition and recommendation of part required and ensure the correct procedure are used when equipment breakdown & troubleshooting
  • Ensure all WO's open status have been compared with current break down equipments
  • Review DOOD (Daily Outstanding Operator Defect), SOS Report, mechanical inspection are analysed and reviewed
  • Ensure all break down machince are reported in OCDC and all information repair description, coding, start and finish has been filled in OCDC correctly
  • Investigation and reporting of all accient damage to all equipment in the field and associated area including with the operator abuse
  • Make a safe working environment for all employees by ensuring all activities are carried out according to the work procedures in the TMS, JSEA
  • Ensure all the disciplinary actions are issued as required in accordance with TCI GBU Mine regulations


What skills and experience do you need?

  • Minimum Senior High School, Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Trade Specialist is preferred; requires a minimum 5 years' professional experience in similar role as Supervisor Mechanic with relevant qualification in Mechanical & Auto Electrical HE Repair and Plant Supervision in mining industry, planning of daily shut down schedule and breakdown repair; mechanical & auto electrical repair experience in experience in Truck/Dozer/Grader unit : Liebherr, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi ; handling diagnostic skill in all aspects of electrical repairs;
  • Good leadership and people management skills preferably with training in staff supervision; have ability in resource planning and OHS&E supervision; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and wriatten in English; able to work under pressure are preferred character traits;

 

OFFICER SAFETY - 926083

Some of your duties will include:

  • To provide safety analysis, trends and performance and communicate them to all sections in daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • To co-ordinate the implementation of the project safety management program to ensure the identification and control of workplace risks to minimize exposure to personal injury and plant and equipment damage.
  • To assist Line Supervisor and Superintendent to meet their OH&S accountabilities
  • Participate in all safety work related activities to gain understanding of all TCI safety management systems and programs
  • Develop a monthly safety flash based on incident trends
  • Compile daily, weekly and monthly bases safety report including plant safety performance, SBO achievement, inspection, 10 high risk jobs.
  • Follow-up and monitoring to relevant person for all corrective action from OSM, inspection, internal audit , corporate audit including external safety audit
  • Update and review Plant risk assessment periodically
  • Maintained plant safety management systems implementation including Planning, Implementation, Check & Monitoring, and Review based on OHSAS18001 "Safety Management Systems"


What skills and experience do you need?

  • Tertiary Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental qualifications or relevant qualifications, have experience on mining operation practice is more preferable with minimum of 3 years' experience as Officer Safety.
  • Have a strong knowledge about Safety, Health & Environment (HSE Standard of mining safety, Plant safety, and construction safety), OHSAS 18001, SMK3, Safety Auditor, risk management process, strong leadership, self-motivated, ability to influence, innovative and problem solving
  • The candidate should fluent in English both oral and written, and proficient in computer literacy; strong leadership; strong communication both of external and internal; self motivated; an initiative person and able to work in team; innovative and problem solving; adaptability and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits.
