PT Agincourt Resources

Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km2 that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (Cow) covering a total area of 1,639 km2.

The resource base on 31 December 2015 includes 7.4 Mos. of gold and 69 Mos. of silver. Production commenced at Martabe on 24 July 2012. The operating capacity of Martabe Gold Mine is 4.5 tap ore to produce in excess of 250,000 oz. of gold and 2-3 Mos. of silver per annum.

PT Agincourt Resources engages approximately 2,300 employees and contractors, more than 98% Indonesians, of which 71% were recruited from South Tapanuli and other regions in North Sumatra.

To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

 

GEOLOGIST (EXP 1702012) x 2 Positions

This position will be based at Martabe Site and reports directly to the Project Geologist.

The role of Geologist is responsible for leadership and management to ensure that the Company’s exploration programs are developed and implemented with a high level of quality technical input, in a practical and cost effective manner within the guidelines of industry best practice for Health, safety, environment and community relations.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in geology.
  2. At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in gold and base metals exploration with general knowledge of deposit styles and the search methods and technologies used to explore for them in a variety of terrains.
  3. Good ability in rock/mineral identification, mapping, sampling, recording and logging techniques.
  4. Experience in exploration for epithermal Au-Ag and porphyry Cu-Au deposits beneficial.
  5. Assist managing projects and teams in remote locations with minimum supervision.
  6. Can work effectively under constant pressure with modest support.
  7. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and support achieving group goals and targets.

 

SUPERINTENDENT - INTERNAL AUDIT (FIN 1702009)

This position will be based at Jakarta Office and reports directly to the Manager - Internal Audit.

The role of Superintendent - Internal Audit is assist Internal Audit Managers PTA’s Internal Audit (IA) in give reasonable assurance of the followings:

  • The effectiveness of internal controls to maintain process integrity;
  • The reliability and the accuracy of measures and reporting;
  • The compliance to policies and regulations.

The Internal Audit Superintendent helps Internal Audit Manager to supervise the accomplishment of the execution of internal audit plan and maintaining continuous improvement program of Internal Audit function.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experiences:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management / Accounting.
  2. MM, MBA, CIA, CPA, CA, SFA, CISA will be favorably considered.
  3. At least 5 years relevant business experience of with 3 to 5 years of experience in audit (preferably Internal Audit) and/or public accounting company.
  4. Having 3-5 years of work experience in Gold Mining Company is preferable.
  5. Understanding of Gold Mining Industry and business processes.
  6. Thorough understanding of the principles and application of good corporate governance, business and operational risk, and control processes and procedures.
  7. Understanding of COSO Internal control and Enterprise Risk Management framework and processes is required.
  8. Ability to provide and communicate Internal Audit findings and reports.
  9. Ability to do audit IT General Control and IT Security is preferred.
  10. General understanding of ICOFR or FSCP reporting process.
  11. General understanding of insurance and financial risk management process.
  12. General understanding Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery Framework.
  13. Having an experience in conducting the Health, Safety and Environmental Audit.
  14. Leadership and supervisory experience (of at least two years) is required.
  15. Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills.
  16. Ability to work in group as well as individual with proven track record of team skills.
  17. Mother tongue Indonesian and fluent in English; both oral and written communications skills.
  18. High degree of innovation and initiative; ability to tackle critical issues head on.
  19. Having Assertive, fast learner, high degree of personal integrity, attention to detail and professional attitude.
  20. Ability to work well under pressure with excellent time management in various locations.
