Our Opportunity
The Senior Financial Accountant, who is responsible for all aspects of statutory requirements and financial management reporting, taxation, budgeting and forecasting for the Indonesian business unit. The Senior Financial Accountant is also accountable for delivering an appropriate internal control environment in Indonesia.

Main Activities of this role include:

• Work safely, and with regard to the safety of others, including complying with all WHS policies and procedures and actively working to improve safety in the workplace
  
• Supervise and develop the skills and capabilities of the Accounting Assistant
  
• Prepare monthly financial reports for the Indonesian business unit within agreed timeframe
  
• Compile and present information on costs and income contributions, including providing analysis and commentary regarding accounts and financial reports
  
• Ensure all business unit financial activities and transactions are in accordance with local statutory requirements and government legislation
  
• Manage Indonesian tax issues to ensure compliance by PT GroundProbe Indonesia, including effective implementation of transfer pricing
  
• Monitor closely the financial status and exposure of the business and provide advice to the Indonesian business unit management where appropriate
  
• Coordinate the preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns
  
• Manage the end of financial year audit requirements
  
• Prepare and manage weekly cash flow forecasts, including international cash transfers
  
• Deliver the Indonesian business unit budgets and monitor and report on performance
  
• Manage debtors and cash position
  
• Ensure adequate local insurance coverage
  
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable
  
• Perform payroll and other accounting services for the Indonesian business unit
• Implement effective internal controls, including documentation of processes

Technical Capabilities:

• Indonesia tax requirements
  
• General accounting
• Ability to use accounting software, preferably with experience in Microsoft AX and/or Adaptive Planning. If no experience in these packages, a proven ability to quickly learn to use software packages.
• Computer literacy and financial analysis

The successful applicant will have:

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in accounts roles.
  
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in use of Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP system.
  
• Experience in Project accounting preferable.
• High standard of English communication

The position will be based in Balikpapan and reports directly to Business Manager Indonesia and Finance Controller.
