G-Resources

G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. Having poured our first gold bars, the mine and processing plant is now focused on achieving the ramp up phase to go into full production. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. The Martabe Gold Mine is striving to maintain an excellent track record in responsible mining practices, and clear commitment to compliance to mining regulations as well as developing and managing mining activities with the involvement of local communities.

To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

SENIOR ENGINEER-SHORT TERM PLANNING (MIN 1279)

This position will be based at Martabe site with FIFO schedule 4/2 weeks and reports directly to the Mine Operation Superintendent.

The role of the Senior Engineer – Short Term Planning is to:

1. Ensure operation of contractor follow G-Resources Operational Plan and Standard of Safety, Health, Environmental and Community.
2. Ensure compliance of Kepmen 555.K/26/M.PE/1995 regarding General Mining Occupational Safety and Health and related Regulations with Mining Operation during contractor operational activity.
3. Assist in the short medium term planning and appropriate planning processes are in place to ensure pit operations can be carried out to deliver the required ore to the process plant.
4. Monitor and manage the mining contractor, as per mining contract, effective use of plant and equipment, achievement of target tonnages.
5. Management of mine operations, L&H, mine services, operational costing linked to the short and medium term mining plan

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience :

• Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering with an emphasis on computer planning skills.
• Have POP Certificate, preferably POM.
• Minimum 5 years and preferably 7 years of experience in mining operations, planning, contracts managements, preferably at hard rock mining industry.
• Knowledge and practical experience of related mining software, preferably Surpac.
• Well and rounded knowledge of mining operations preferably open pit hard rock mines, familiarity with drilling/blasting and projects works will be an advantage.
• Experience on the best practice surface mining operations.
• Experience working as Production Engineer, including Production Reporting.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas.
• Competence in speaking, reading and writing English.
• Reasonable level of problem solving, hands on approach, able to motivate and lead a team.
• High level of computer literacy skills MS. Word, Excel, Power Point.
• High commitment to PTAR standards in environment, safety, business ethic and good corporate governance.
• Experience on Performance Monitoring & Review and Business improvement Process is preferred.
