G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, processes in excess of 4.5mtpa to produce greater than 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

MATERIAL HANDLING LEADING HAND (PRO 1174)

This position will be based at Martabe site in the processing plant, working on schedule 4 weeks on; 2 weeks off and reports directly to Materials Handling Supervisor.

The role of the Materials Handling Leading hand is to provide hands on support for the Materials Handling Supervisor, so as to ensure that all lifting and transport activities are carried out by the Materials Handling team are performed in a safe, professional, diligent, timely, cost efficient and cost effective way. These task are to be undertaken whilst taking into consideration the priority requirements of the process plant and associated infrastructures mechanical plant, equipment being attended to. This role also will cover the Materials Handling Supervisors role whilst they are on leave.

Close interaction with your peers within the Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation , Process and Metallurgical teams as well as the Maintenance planning and Supply and logistics teams will be crucial to the overall success of your role.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Possess a MINERBA Crane mobile Class I crane qualification.
2. Senior First-Aid qualifications.
3. Possess a MINERBA Rigging qualification.
4. Crane Truck driver qualification
5. Possess a valid HE drivers Licence
6. Scaffold Inspectors qualification.
7. Possess a MINERBA Scaffolders qualification.
8. Experience in similar position within the mining, oil & gas or similar heavy industrial environment.
9. A good understanding of world class mining standards and associated safety standards (ANZS, BS, IEC & ASTM)
10. Ability to train personnel in the correct usage of Material handling equipment.
11. Thorough knowledge of developing lift plans and executing these for cranes up to 300t capacity.
12. Ability to provide detail reports on the inspection of materials handling equipment.
13. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within a mineral processing plant.
14. Ability to perform routine inspections and maintenance of all lifting equipment including but not limited to chains, slings, shackles, spreader bars, hooks, blocks, clamps, chain blocks, lever hoists.
15. Full understanding of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
16. The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
17. Thorough knowledge of best practice use of lifting devices, apparatus and attachments.
18. Ability to estimate the amounts of labour, materials and equipment required for tasks/projects.
19. Ability to understand and efficiently carry out both written and oral instructions.
20. Good Computer skills with Microsoft, Excel, Word, Outlook
21. Ability to communicate in English both written and orally
