An excellent opportunity for:

Senior Engineer Mining

has arisen to join our Engineering team based at Melak Mine Project, East Kalimantan.

Responsibilities:

1. Reporting to Engineering Superintendent, you will responsible to provide technical design and support for mining engineering activities so as to maximize productivities in the most cost effective and efficient manner, while ensuring a safe professional environment is maintained;
2. provide daily advice to production personnel on the required direction of mining to achieve scheduled sequences and targets;
3. coordination with Senior Mining Supervisor to ensure OB quality;
4. coordination with Drill and Blast Engineer and Supervisor to manage blasting sequence and manage cost of drilling and blasting;
5. coordination with client and Senior Mining Supervisor to ensure mine sequence, dump sequence following pit design and productivity achievement;
6. weekly coordination with client and Senior Mining Supervisor regarding equipment allocation, production targets, mine sequence, etc.

This position requires:

1. minimum of Bachelor degree of Mine Engineering with minimum of 4 years in site experience;
2. proficient in mining principles,
3. mine design concepts & operations in both coal, mine operation regulatory requirements;
4. proven skills in Mine Scheduling tools utilising software such as Minescape and Xpac will be an advantage;
5. strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical and focus on detail;
6. excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written;
7. and computer literate.
