PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals (PTNHM)

Newcrest and PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) or Antam formed a joint venture in 1994 to explore for gold in Halmahera island. In that same year, the joint venture formally recognised economic gold grades at Gosowong. In 1997 Newcrest and Antam established PTNHM and a Contract of Work between the Government of Indonesia and PTNHM was signed on 28 April 1997, with engineering, feasibility and environmental impact studies completed thereafter. The first gold dore was poured at Gosowong in July 1999.

Underground Geologist (GEO) - Fix Term Contract

Requirements :

1. Minimum Senior High School or similar
2. Minimum Bachelor degree (S1) in Geology
3. Minimum 4 (four) years of experience in Geologist position with 2 (two) years of experience in Geology production
4. Underground mine experiences is preferable
5. Familiar with mine geology software (preferable Surpac experience)
6. Familiar with Grade Control System & Database
7. Familiar with Epithermal Vein Structure
8. Having strong structural analysis
9. Familiar with Infill Drilling, Core Logging, Ore Sampling & Mapping
10. Familiar with safety in production
11. Able to work on Shift schedule
12. Agree and committed to perform  the 5 (five) Principles of the Newcrest Values i.e. “Working Together, Care about People, Honesty and Integrity, Innovation & Problem Solving, Seek High Performance”
