G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, processes in excess of 4.5mtpa to produce greater than 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (PRO 0316)

This position will be based at Martabe site and Processing Department. Reports directly to Senior Electrical Supervisor/Trainer.

The role of the Electrical Engineer is to provide hands-on support for the Senior Electrical Supervisor/Trainer, so as ensure that the Electrical Engineering services provided are carried out in a professional, safe, diligent, timely, cost efficient and cost effective manner, whilst taking into consideration the priority requirements of the Process Plant and associated infrastructures electrical & instrumentation plant, equipment & apparatus being attended to.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Major Degree of Electrical Engineer
2. Possess a valid recognised Drivers licence.
3. Possess broad based experience in similar supervisory positions within the mining, oil & gas or similar heavy industrial environment.
4. A good understanding of world class mining standards and associated safety standards (ANZS, BS, IEC & ASTM)
5. A good understanding of Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
6. Experience with electrical & instrumentation maintenance, problem-solving and inspection processes.
7. Interpretation of engineering / electrical drawings.
8. Ability to estimate the amounts of labour, materials, and equipment required for tasks / projects.
9. Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
10. Possess an aptitude of passing on knowledge & information to semi-skilled personnel.
11. Excellent English language verbal, written communication skills.
12. The ability to act alone and make discretionary decisions in a safe and professional manner.
13. Possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
14. The ability to prioritise and delegate workload and work effectively under pressure.
15. Pays a high level of attention to standard and detail.
16. The ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
17. Is highly motivated and pro-active with a positive attitude.
18. Ability to develop Safe Working Procedures and demonstrate these to subordinates.
