PT Bumi Suksesindo (BSI)

PT. Bumi Suksesindo (BSI) is a privately held Indonesian gold and copper mining company. The company is owned by some of the country’s most successful and well respected mining executives.

Exploration at the Tujuh Bukit project in the Banyuwangi region, East Java has delineated a world class gold/copper ore-body, with an expected mine life in excess of 25 years. The initial phase of the project involves open pit mining and processing of the gold/silver rich oxide cap. Construction on this project is planned to commence in 2016.

Successful candidates will be required to work a four weeks on, two weeks off roster. Living conditions on site are located in idyllic surroundings along the south eastern coast of Java.

COMMERCIAL MANAGER

Job Description

Reporting to Project Director – Pulau Merah, the role is expected to conduct cost reporting and analysis, manage camp services, initiate continuous improvement initiatives, and manage internal controls.

Main Activities / Tasks :

• Prepare monthly cost reports with analysis on a timely basis.
• Manage all site infrastructure including catering, cleaning and maintenance services to maintain agreed service levels. Measure and report on the delivery of these services.
• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts of costs, capital and physicals.
• Develop and implement appropriate internal control procedures to ensure the safeguard of the Company’s resources. Support these controls through written procedures and policies.
• Work with operational and project management to identify cost and productivity initiatives and champion their implementation.
• In conjunction with purchasing management effectively manage inventory levels of stock items
• Participate in the tendering process including, evaluate proposals and recommend award of tenders, negotiate contracts and review performance.
• Recruit and manage employees under the positions responsibility. Ensure effective staff training, including succession planning.
• Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by Senior Management from time to time

Qualifications :

• Significant management experience in a senior finance or site operations role, preferably within in the mining industry.
• Recognised tertiary qualifications in Finance or Engineering.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Demonstrated competence in using ERP systems.
• Site based, roster to be agreed.
