PROFESSIONAL MINING OPPORTUNITIES

PT. Bumi Suksesindo (BSI) is a privately held Indonesian gold and copper mining company. The company is owned by some of the country's most successful and well respected mining executives.

Exploration at the Tujuh Bukit project in the Banyuwangi region, East Java has delineated a world class gold/copper ore-body, with an expected mine life in excess of 25 years. The initial phase of the project involves open pit mining and processing of the gold/silver rich oxide cap. Construction on this project is planned to commence in the last quarter of 2014, with first production in early 2016.

The company seeks mining professionals to fill the following positions within a growing organisation.

Successful candidates will be required to work a four weeks on, two weeks off roster. Living conditions on site are located in idyllic surroundings along the south eastern coast of Java.

 

Mining Manager (Open Pit)

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the GM Mining, this position will play a key role in starting-up of mining operations from construction stage.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification in Mining Engineering (preferred)
• Minimum 15 years' experience in a leadership position for an open-pit metal mine
• Production experience is essential for this position
• Thorough knowledge of mine planning, conventional truck/excavator mining, drill & blast, grade control, plus thorough knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices
• Hold certificate of Pengawas Operasional Utama (POU)

 

Mine Planning Superintendent

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Mining Manager, this person will be responsible for the technical planning services for the mine.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification in Mining Engineering
• 10 years' experience in an open-pit metal mining with minimum 5 years in a leadership position
• Experience with mine planning systems such as SURPAC essential
• Some production experience will be highly regarded
• Hold certificate of Pengawas Operasional Madya (POM)

 

Mining Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, this position will play a key role in the operation's production targets, mining plan, drill design patterns, cost and schedule planning, amongst other duties.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification in Mining Engineering
• At least 3 years' experience in an open-pit metal mining
• Drill and blast experience in hard rock mining will be highly regarded
• Some experience with mine planning software desirable
• Hold certificate of Pengawas Operasional Pratama (POP)

 

Mining Superintendent

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Mining Manager, this position will lead, direct and manage mining activities in the field to ensure that all functions are undertaken in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner in line with agreed operational standards and targets.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification in Mining Engineering will be advantageous
• Minimum 10 years' experience in a leadership position for an open-pit metal mining
• Skilled in managing a diverse grouping of mining personnel
• Hold certificate of Pengawas Operasional Madya (POM)

 

Senior Earthworks/Mining Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, this position will see you involved in the initial development of the mine. You will monitor compliance across the site and manage a team of operators to ensure that all production and safety targets are met.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years' experience in a leadership position for an open-pit metals mining
• Strong ability to build excellent working relationships with your team
• Hold certificate of Pengawas Operasional Pratama (POP)

 

Earthworks/Mining Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Senior Earthworks/Mining Supervisor, this position will manage a team of operators to ensure that all production and safety targets are met.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership position for an open-pit metals mining
• Strong ability to build excellent working relationships with your team
• Hold certificate of Pengawas Operasional Pratama (POP)

 

Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Senior Civil Engineer this position will be responsible for all onsite civil engineering matters including project planning and monitoring progress.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering
• At least 3 years' experience in a mine construction
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and project planning software
• Hold certificate of Pengawas Operasional Pratama (POP)

 

Senior Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, this position will manage a team of Surveyors to provide timely and accurate surveying services to the Mining Operation.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification in Geodetic Engineering
• At least 7 years' experience in mine surveying experience across metals mining operations
• Experience of working on new mining operations will be advantageous
• Excellent proficiency in Surveying Software
• Hold certificate of Pengawas Operasional Pratama (POP)

 

Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, this position will be responsible for providing timely and accurate surveying services to the Mining Operation.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification in Geodetic Engineering
• At least 7 years' experience in mine surveying experience across metals mining operations
• Experience of working on new mining operations will be advantageous
• Excellent proficiency in Surveying Software
• Hold certificate of Pengawas Operasional Pratama (POP)

 

Draftsman

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, this position will manage the site geographical information system and reporting needs.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification in related fields
• At least 3 years' experience in similar across mining operations
• Previous experience with document control and QA/QC procedures will be advantageous
