G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. Having poured our first gold bars, the mine and processing plant is now focused on achieving the ramp up phase to go into full production. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. The Martabe Gold Mine is striving to maintain an excellent track record in responsible mining practices, and clear commitment to compliance to mining regulations as well as developing and managing mining activities with the involvement of local communities.

To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Min 0860)

This position will be based at Martabe site with FIFO schedule 4/2 weeks and reports directly to the Superintendent Geotechnical and Hydrogeology.

The main accountabilities of the role are to

• Promote and maintain high safety performance through personal commitment and application of safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular risk assessments and monitoring of interim and final pit walls, dump slopes, and main infrastructures developments
• Evaluate, planning and implementation of geotechnical monitoring systems
• Determine, review, and recommend appropriate geotechnical investigation programs (drilling, sampling, and logging) required for current and future expansion of the pit, waste dump, and associated main infrastructures
• Develop geotechnical database of any  geotechnical parameters for design works
• Generate geotechnical data models from collection and analysis of geotechnical mapping and drilling.
• Advanced user of geotechnical software – Slope Stability analysis (Rocscience Package, GeoSlope, Galena, etc.)
• Overseeing the implementation of slope design and evaluation of performance
• Good understanding in hydrogeological aspects
• Undertake remedial geotechnical investigations and formulation of corrective measures
• Assist in developing and continuously maintain site-specific Ground Control Management plan (GCMP)
• Develop site-specific geotechnical hazards awareness training for the mine inducted personnel including contractors
• Providing leadership and mentoring for engineer and geotechnicians

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering geology or mining or civil engineering.
• At least eight (8) years experience in geotechnical engineering aspects (preferably open cut gold mine)
• Proficient in Geotechnical softwares, Surpac, AutoCad, MapInfo.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.

Processing Training Coordinator (PRO 0861)

This position will be based in Martabe project and reports directly to the Manager Processing. Main duties of this position is to manage training personnel and coordinate the development and implementation of skills training to ensure ongoing progression of all processing personnel.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

• Hold Certificate IV in Training & Assessment – TAE 40110 or equivalent.
• Knowledge of training and assessment systems.
• Development and implementation of A Training Need’s Analysis plan.
• Development of competency based training plans for processing personnel.
• Coordinating the implementation of individual training plans.
• Development ofStandard Operational Procedures as required.
• Provide valuable training packages and proceed effectively to local work force.
• Review and maintain current training packages to ensure relevance.
• Planning & developing strategies for continuous improvement in the process plant performance.
• Ensuring resources are adequate to develop new training packages.
• Plan, design and deliver high quality training programmes to meet client needs.
• Supervision and coordination of the trainer in leading training courses.
• A minimum of five years experience working within a training environment especially in processing department.
• Ability to communicate both written and verbal in English.
• A bachelor degree in Education or Business Administration.
• Certified trainer or facilitator.

Processing Training Supervisor (PRO 0862)

This position will be based in Martabe project and reports directly to the Processing Training Coordinator. Main duties of this position is to manage, coordinate and deliver training to all processing personnel and to ensure ongoing progression of all trainee’s through their skills matrix.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

• Hold Certificate IV in Training & Assessment – TAE 40110 or equivalent.
• Knowledge of training and assessment systems.
• Implementing and evaluating of a Training Need Analysis plan.
• Delivery of training plans for processing personnel.
• Coordination and implementation of individual training plans.
• Development of Standard Operational Procedures as directed.
• Development of training packages as directed by the Training Coordinator.
• Review and evaluation of the current training packages to ensure relevance.
• Ability to communicate both written and verbal in English.
• Delivery of high quality training programmes to meet client needs.
• Must have a high standard of verbal, written and presentation skill.
• Three to five years experience working within a training environment, experience in process training and delivery is highly desirable.
• A bachelor degree in Education or Business Administration.
• Certified trainer or facilitator.

Senior Operator / Trainer (Control Room & Field) – (PRO 0864)

This position will be based in Martabe Project and reports directly to the Process Supervisor / Trainer – Processing.

Role of this position is to provide the necessary skills, knowledge and supervision to the local Process Plant workforce to ensure all activities associated within the Process Plant are effectively and safely carried out on a daily basis. He/she will implement with the Process Superintendent strategies for continuous improvement in overall process Plant performance to ensure production targets are met with particular emphasis on safety, environment, productivity, security and cost.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

• Graduated from Senior High School – SMK or SMA.
• Must have an excellent understanding of the English language and able to communicate both written and spoken.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet
• 4 years or more experience gained in a processing senior operator role within the resource sector.
• Minimum 7 years relevant mineral processing plant experience. With experience in Crushing & Reclaim, Grinding & Reclassification, Carbon in Leach, Desorption & Regeneration, Waste Water Polishing Plant.
• Experience commissioning gold Processing Plant equipment
• Ability to read and understand PFD’s, PID’s and control philosophy documentation. The ability to explain information in these documents to trainee Process Plant Operators.
• Understanding of and ability to use plant SCADA system. Commissioning experience (not essential but highly regarded)
• Experience in a construction phase of a mining project
• Training of plant personnel in an expatriate environment. The ability to prepare training materials and present training information.
• The ability to teach and train operators to carry out their duties in such a manner as to achieve maximum individual accountability.
• Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards associated within a Processing Plant environment.
• Ability to plan and supervise the work of others on a shift, daily, and weekly basis.
• Ability to understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instructions.
• A thorough understanding of the production flow sheet and routine production requirements of the Processing Plant.
• An understanding of security procedures.
• Superior work ethic, be able to effectively communicate with all staff and display a high degree of respect for the local people and their culture
