G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. Having poured our first gold bars, the mine and processing plant is now focused on achieving the ramp up phase to go into full production. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. The Martabe Gold Mine is striving to maintain an excellent track record in responsible mining practices, and clear commitment to compliance to mining regulations as well as developing and managing mining activities with the involvement of local communities.
To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:
BUYER (SCM 0753)
This position will be based in Martabe project and reports directly to the Procurement Superintendent.
The role of this position will responsible to:
- Facilitate purchases of company operating equipment, parts and supplies.
- Negotiate and prepare Purchase Orders for domestic and international purchasing of spare part, local purchase and direct purchase.
- Handle purchasing activities related to processing of purchasing requisitions, revisions, pricing and dealing with purchasing discrepancies.
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
- Formal degree qualification in Purchasing/procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, business, engineering
- Certified professional in Purchasing Management is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing in mining industry including constructions projects.
- Sound understanding of relevant sourcing capabilities domestics and international.
- Well developed computer skills and ability to implement and maintain effective processes and procedures.
- Strong documentation skills, sound business sense, advanced English language documentation skills with high attention to detail.
- Good communication skill in English & interpersonal skill.
SENIOR BUYER (SCM 0754)
This position will be based in Martabe Site and reports directly to Procurement Superintendent.
This position is accountable to :
- Planning, organizing and controlling of PTAR good purchases.
- Supervising and managing the commercial aspects of goods procurement activities primarily.
- Administering and associating with supply contract, direct purchases, capital goods, consumable items and spare parts and support local business development.
- Acting as second in command in the absence of the procurement Superintendent.
- Negotiate and prepare Purchase Orders for domestic and international purchasing of spare part Local purchases and direct purchases.
- Handle purchasing activities related to processing of purchasing requisitions, revisions, pricing and dealing with purchasing discrepancies when needed.
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
- Formal degree qualification in Purchasing/procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, business, engineering
- Certified professional in Purchasing Management is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in purchasing in mining industry including constructions projects.
- Experience in purchasing high dollar items and preparing complex Purchase order or Purchase Contracts.
- Sound understanding of relevant sourcing capabilities domestics and international.
- Well developed computer skills and ability to implement and maintain effective processes and procedures.
- Strong documentation skills, sound business sense, advanced English language documentation skills with high attention to detail.
- Good communication skill in English & interpersonal skill
