We are currently taking applicants for the following position:
DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER
(Placement: Kalimantan Timur)
Proactively support the Project Manager to plan, direct and control the Project to ensure all Project related activities are conducted SAFELY, to the required Petrosea standards, on time and ahead of budget, whilst fostering an atmosphere of Zero Incidents and Continuous Improvement to promote the ongoing success of Petrosea.
Requirements:
- Possess the potential to develop into a PTP Mine Project Manager
- Min. Bachelor degree in mining or sufficient experience to provide the necessary expertise
- Holder of POM (minimum) / POU (preferred)
- Min. ten years previous experience in supervising mining operations (production) and a demonstrable understanding of sound mining practices and mining equipment.
- Min. five years in managerial position on a mining project
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, written and verbal
- Good computer skills, familiar with mining and mine planning software
- Good communication and strong leadership skills
- Ability to work in a Team environment under pressure
- Willing to be placed in any company location. Able to work in a remote location on Roster arrangements
- Ability to understand and protect PTP’s commercial interests
- Good understanding of Mine infrastructure requirements
- Willing to be placed in any Company location and to work flexible hours to meet Project requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Direct responsibility for Engineering and Production operations on the Project. DPM shall direct and control all Engineering and Production functions on Site to optimise production, utilisation and cost for all mining operations on Site, without sacrificing safety or standards of work.
- Review and coordinate all mine planning activities with Client personnel
- Foster a culture of Zero Incidents and Continuous Improvements. DPM is responsible for safety within the mining areas of the Project.
- Assume responsibilities and authorities of the PM during PM absence.
- Proactively support the Project Manager in maintaining and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs and conformance to official standards and requirements.
- In coordination with the PM, allocate, manage and optimise resources (including personnel) to maximise returns and ensure continuity of operations.
- Plan and control water management activities to ensure minimal interruptions to mining.
- Support PM with the mobilisation and establishment of the Project, including any fleet and infrastructure expansion that may be required during the Project (including the build-up of personnel in accordance with approved organisation charts).
- Actively support the PM in the control and management of the Workforce, including training and maximisation of local employment.
- The DPM should assist in the preparation and review of Inductions, Training material, Standard Operating Procedures and similar material to maximise the effectiveness of the Workforce.
- The DPM should also participate in the presentation of materials and the assessment of employees.
- Preparation and implementation of Project Budgets and Forecasts in conjunction with the PM.
- Coordinate subcontract activities to ensure that they will support the achievement of Project aims and the support of Project objectives.
- Manage the preparation of Claims, Variations, Monthly Reports and documentation related to disputes with Client / Suppliers. Support PM as required in any negotiations with Client / Suppliers.
- Manage all statutory permits and approvals as required to proceed with the Project and ensure all permits and formalities are complete and valid.
- Support the PM in the implementation and recording of Strategic Initiatives
- Assist PM to establish, maintain and manage all stake-holders interests to ensure harmonious and cooperative relationships in industrial relations and community relations in all aspects of the project.
- Support the PM in any other way deemed beneficial to the Project or the ongoing success of PTP. The PM may assign additional responsibilities within the limits of Company Policy.
- Maintaining and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.
DISPATCH IT
(Assignment: Kalimantan Timur)
Performs routine maintenance, installation and integration of various types of process control of FMS software such as FMS system administration, instrumentation equipment of FMS hardware such as FMS display, FMS antenna, dispatch area, and Radio Wireless systems such as Switch, LAN and network portable tower to make FMS system running well.
Requirements:
- Min diploma degree in Information Technology, Bachelor degree are preferable
- Min 3 (three) years of experience in Electrical/Instrument process engineering prefer for Fleet Management System
- Preferably has knowledge as a communication engineer especially for information technology
- Preferably has knowledge of DNS, Firewalls, web and database servers
- Good analytical skill
- Good problem solving skill
- Strong reporting and technical writing
- Good customer service and team work
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Willing to be based on project sites and work in shift
- Willing to provide 24/7 on-call production support and escalations for hardware, operating system or communication problems associated with system supported by group
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for installation, testing, programming, and commissioning equipment associated with the FMS system, FMS hardware and the network system running well.
- Conduct annual maintenance tasks associated with the FMS and assist station staff in FMS use and operation.
- Investigate and analyze hardware, network and FMS system problems with instruments, sensors and carry out programming and configuration changes plus investigate and recommend system improvements with particular emphasis on energy efficiency.
- Prepare and provide documentations for Jigsaw related to the installation, networking and troubleshooting
- Coordinate and work together with Site electrician crew, Dispatcher and ICT Indika head office.
- Design & Manage Wireless Radio Communication systems to support communication at entire site
- Communicate and manage with vendor regarding maintain and support FMS system.
DISPATCHER
(Assignment: Kalimantan Timur)
Monitor and supervise production activities an effective fleet management system by analyse and investigate reason for failure to comply with productivity target using the selected system.
Requirements:
- Min bachelor degree in Mining Engineering or foreman/supervisor with min 7 year experience
- Min 2 (two) years of experience as a Mining Engineer especially for running Fleet Management System
- Good understanding of Mining Business Processes
- Good analytical skill & problem solving skill
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Strong reporting and technical writing
- Good understanding of Mining Business Processes
- Excellent computer skill in Microsoft environment and other related applications, especially in report preparation and presentation

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the deployment of the Fleet Management System
- Undertake daily management of mine production information every shift and reporting systems
- Maintain and update Fleet Management System based on mining progress
- Deliver and implement daily or shift mine planning from engineering to operation production
- Dispatch, monitor and supervise production activities an effective Fleet Management System and coordination with operation to achieve and improve production and productivity target
- Review daily, weekly and monthly production & cost reports from the fleet management system to ensure the reports are free from errors
- Analyse and investigate reasons for failure to comply with productivity target and dispatch instructions by operator or shift supervision and report all findings to supervisor operation in order to have appropriate solution.
- Dispatch, monitor and supervise production activities every shift for an effective fleet management system and coordination with operation to achieve and improve productivity target to production efficiency.
- Responsible for effective deployment of mining resources to safely and effectively execute mine plans within set production and safety targets, understanding the daily, weekly and monthly production targets
- Ensure strong disciplinary procedures are enforced and followed consistently, assist to manage the operations manpower and make sure the right people are in the right places doing the right things.
GEOLOGIST & GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER
(Assignment: Kalimantan Timur)
Provides geological and geo-technical support to mine planning and mining operations that ensures all planning based on an accurate process of reserves and optimization and perform geotechnical assessment, field monitoring, develop and produce standards in geotechnical related activities to ensure safe and environmentally reliable production.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering
- Min. 3 years of experience as a Mining Engineer
- Good understanding of Mining Business Process
- Willing to be located in project site location
- Must be proficient in Excel, Power Point, Report Preparation and Presentation
- Good analytical thinking skill and problem solving skill

Responsibilities:
- Collect, validate and process all necessary geological information to interpolate and define the basic geological model used in mine planning or client negotiations.
- Develop geological database, control variance, and updates model to assist accurate mine planning process
- Compile weekly and monthly report model and survey variance, analyse and recommend geological aspect for mine sequences and operations
- work with surveyors to monitor, calculate and control coal recovery measurement in order to develop database and coal mining operational applied to the procedure
- Contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a set of standard operating procedures to ensure that operations understand and operate in accordance with mine planning recovery parameters.
- Review and analyse geotechnical report from client included parameters and design specification and recommend necessary technical advice if required
- Check and monitor report of slope stability and drain hole to ensure that the slope movement calculation is well identified and recorded properly
- Develop geotechnical awareness for mine plan engineers and mining operations personnel related to proper process, implementation and safe operations
- Closely monitor work practices and face locations to ensure that operations are guided through any geological discontinuities or geo-technical complications that may affect mining performance.
- Provide detail plan, report and arrange schedule of geotechnical audit and implementation control with consultant and internal in order to develop geotechnical system applied properly
- Monitor and review all water management plan and ensure all the parameters related to slope stability identified and provide for early recommendations
- Maintain a strong capability in the mine planning, geological and geotechnical software.
- Minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages

MINE ENGINEERING MANAGER
(Assignment: Kalimantan Timur)
Plan, develop, implement and improve mine plannning system, procedures and resources in order to support mining projects in term of technical services expertise for optimizing company’s mining operation.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor degree, preferably in mining engineering.
- With at least 10 years mine experience and minimum 3 years in managerial position.
- Excellent communication both in English & Indonesian.
- Outstanding analysis skills.
- Strong capability / exposure to mine planning softwares.
Responsibilities:
- Control, monitor and liase with Project Managers to foster efficient mining operations through competent Technical services skills and disciplines.
- Control, monitor and liase with project manager in communicate ideas, systems, designs, procedures and standards in mining operation to ensure the adherence of those new policies.
- Develop and monitor monthly reporting format for the Mining business line and coordinate the timely completion by all Project Managers to ensure monthly reporting timeliness and conform with standard format.
- Provide support to all tenders / proposals prepared by the Mining business line to ensure the reliability of all tenders / proposals prior to submission.
- Coach and mentor of technical support staff and key national staff in order to assist them understand and manage the technical implications within contracts.
- Monitor, support and liase with HR department to Facilitate the graduate development program in order to participate in developing new talents.
MINE ENGINEERING SUPERINTENDENT
(Assignment: Kalimantan Timur)
Control, monitor and supervise Business Mining Process by variance in the Project mining operations to ensure production is achieved in accordance with Project parameters, Project schedule and budget and in compliance with Petrosea and Project safety and environmental policy and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor degree in Mining Engineer.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Good leadership and communication skill.
- Willing to be placed in all mining project location.
- May be required to work flexible hours to meet Project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to all mining engineering staff to ensure the safest and efficient mining operations to achieve production targets.
- Work with Senior Mining Engineer to develop weekly, monthly and shutdown schedules for inclusion in the BMP plans by the Senior Mining Engineer.
- Assist with the implementation of the BMP system through leadership of technical assistants, production of accurate and timely reports, and troubleshooting problems encountered with the system.
- Responsible to implement long term mine plans and short term detailed mine execution plans at all levels using the BMP process and to provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term mine plan.
- Assist the Mining Engineer to develop and update mine plans and production schedules in accordance with project criteria.
- Implement and manage the mining operations in accordance with the mine plan to achieve production schedules.
- Prepare timely and accurate information on project progress for inclusion in progress claims and reports prepared by the Senior Mining Engineer.
- Organize, coordinate and manage production meetings internally and with the Client and arrange for distribution of minutes.
- Responsible for the optimization and utilization of mining equipment by the Mining Supervisor to achieve production targets.
- Ensure smooth coordination between Mining operations and Maintenance to maximize availability and utilization of all mining equipment.
- Monitor and manage the performance of all mining engineering staff.
- Assist the Project Manager in the training and mentoring of personnel as required by the company.
- Assist the Project Manager in promoting the development of teamwork.
- Promote and develop an open ethical work environment.
MINING SUPERINTENDENT
(Assignment: Kalimantan Timur)
Monitor and control mining operation in term of support mining project manager to ensure production is achieved in accordance with BMP (Business Mining Petrosea), project parameters, project schedule, budget, in compliance with company’s project safety and environmental policy.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor degree in mining
- Min. 8 years previous experiences in mining operation (production).
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- Familiar with mining software
- Good communication and leadership skill
- Willing to be placed in all company location
- Excellent computer skill
- Certified in POP (hold POM certificate will be a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and monitor mining operations staff on their day to day mining operation, monitor and control mining equipment usage to ensure the safest and efficient mining operations in order to achieve production targets and schedule in line with the mine plan.
- Develop and monitor weekly, monthly and shutdown schedules for inclusion in the BMP plans by the Senior Mining Engineer.
- Support and monitor the implementation of long term mine plans and short term detailed mine execution plans at all levels using the BMP process, provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis in order to enable short term control achieving the long term mine plan.
- Prepare timely and accurate information on project progress for inclusion in progress claims and reports prepared by the Senior Mining Engineer.

SENIOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER
(Assignment: Kalimantan Timur)
Manage, control, and give required direction for mining engineers (continuous improvement) on-sites to ensure mining improvement processes and tasks are in line with organization goal.
To ensure continuous improvement techniques and methods in order to identify, prioritize and implement opportunity for improvement in mining project are established.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Mining, Civil, Mechanical or Industrial
- At least 5 years working experience in open cut mining operations especially at Continuous Improvement section
- Strong computer skills, preference is competent using statistical software application such as MINITAB
- Strong on analytical (multi variance data) skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Willing to travel frequently to the company’s mine sites
- Good understanding of Mining Business Process
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and lead change
Responsibilities:
- Promotion of HSE programmes targeting zero work related injuries and illnesses.
- Coordinate with site mining engineers (CI) to ensure improvement processes and implementations are running well in onsite
- Work as a team with mining engineers (CI) to analyse operational data (such as VHMS, PLM, VIMS, MIC, OpsDB, FMS and etc) to determine performance or cost issues and work toward solution which can be delivered to the project.

SENIOR MINING ENGINEER
(Assignment: Kalimantan Timur)
Leadership of Mine Planning Staff and resources to produce short and long term mine plans and schedules, complete with relevant systems and procedures that support the mining operations to achieve Project objectives within budgetary and contractual constraints.
Requirements:
- Min bachelor degree in a mining related Engineering discipline
- Min four years of experience in mining industry, including at least two years in Mine Planning
- Demonstrates good knowledge of Mining equipment capabilities and applications
- Experience with drill/blast and dewatering activities an advantage
- Well-developed computer skills, including their application to Mine Engineering
- Ability to use Mine Planning and Scheduling software including practical application to mining operations

Responsibilities:
- Proactively develop Twenty Four Month Plans and determine mine infrastructure, fleet and personnel resource requirements.
- Modification of Plans in line with resource allocations where applicable
- Critically review the Client provided Annual Mine Plans (and other Mine Plans as received) for accuracy, conformance to the Contract requirements and achievability. Provide alternatives and cooperatively work with Client to produce the most mutually satisfactory Annual Mine Plan.
- Review Client plans and requests to ensure the requirements defined are incorporated in the works and the responsibilities allocated under the Project quality system are understood and implemented.
- Proactively identify variations to the Contract and cooperate with the Commercial Team to follow through on claiming variations.
- Contribute to the development of the Three Monthly, Monthly and other short term detailed Mine Plans to integrate with the Mining Operations.
- Provide the necessary paraments needed by the Mining operations on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term Mine Plan.
- Closely monitor work practices and output to ensure that the integrity, clarity and thoroughness of the information that is produced by the project Mine Planning function is of a high standard and relevant to the requirements.
- Maintains a strong capability in the mine planning software and ensures that mine engineering staffs are similarly up to date with their skills.
- Contribute to the development of long term schedules for integration into shorter term mine plans for utilisation at Petrosea’s Mining operations (using PTP specified scheduling software).
- Monitor and coordinate engineering activities to ensure efficient production of engineering plans to meet contract program requirements.
- Conduct evaluation and analysis of mine schedules to ensure that they meet Petrosea’s goals.
- Contribute to the budgeting process.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to the Project sites and ensure they are incorporated into Petrosea Management Systems and Procedures.
- Coaching and mentoring of Graduate Mining Engineers and other Engineering related personnel.
- Contribute to the compilation of tenders and other cost estimation work by providing mine planning and design support as required by the Estimator.
- Provide technical advice and services to support production activities and reporting
