DRILL & BLAST SUPERVISOR
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Execute, monitor and control the drill and blast activities of the project in order to ensure that it is completed on time and to the total satisfaction of the client whilst achieving tender profit margins and meeting the safety and quality expectations of the company.
Requirements:
- Min diploma degree in Mining, Civil Engineering or Geologist with Class Blaster Certificate.
- Min. 5 years previous experience in drilling & blasting, preferably as a supervisor.
- Good communication skills in English and Indonesian, written & verbal.
- Understanding applications of drill blast design and shot plus software.
- Familiar with designing drill and blast, leading the team and explosives handling.
- Rotation to each site conducting drilling and blasting.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with client's drill & blast engineer to plan drilling location.
- Liaise with client's surveyor to make sure drilling location.
- Establish drill & blast design and drill & blast environment treatment plan.
- Liaise with Production Staff Supervisor to prepare drill pad location.
- Ensure the job is done right the first time.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shot fire, tradesman and subordinates.
- Ensure exploder is maintained to blasting standards of safety and reliable.
- Ensure workforce is competent to conduct allotted tasks and work is conducted in safe and efficient manner.
- Collect data of drilling and blasting include record details of drill pattern, location, whole location, blast time, explosive usage and blast result.
- Build long term relationships with clients by gaining an understanding of client's strategy and upcoming projects/opportunities and demonstrating Petrosea's capacity to act as partner in helping clients achieve their strategic goals.
- Responsible for safety performance and conformance within the area of his control.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance counselling required for all direct reports.
MINE ENGINEERING MANAGER
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Plan, develop, implement and improve mine plannning system, procedures and resources in order to support mining projects in term of technical services expertise for optimizing company's mining operation.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor degree, preferably in mining engineering.
- With at least 10 years mine experience and minimum 3 years in managerial position.
- Excellent communication both in English & Indonesian.
- Outstanding analysis skills.
- Strong capability / exposure to mine planning softwares.
Responsibilities:
- Control, monitor and liase with Project Managers to foster efficient mining operations through competent Technical services skills and disciplines.
- Control, monitor and liase with project manager in communicate ideas, systems, designs, procedures and standards in mining operation to ensure the adherence of those new policies.
- Develop and monitor monthly reporting format for the Mining business line and coordinate the timely completion by all Project Managers to ensure monthly reporting timeliness and conform with standard format.
- Provide support to all tenders / proposals prepared by the Mining business line to ensure the reliability of all tenders / proposals prior to submission.
- Coach and mentor of technical support staff and key national staff in order to assist them understand and manage the technical implications within contracts.
- Monitor, support and liase with HR department to Facilitate the graduate development program in order to participate in developing new talents.
MINING ENGINEER
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Prepare short term mine planning/scheduling and production analysis to effectively support the mining operations to achieve performance within budget.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in mining industry
- Min. Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering
- Knowledge of best practice in Project Management
- Willing to be placed in all company's site locations
- Good command in English written and verbal
- Familiar with Mining software
- Familiar with mining software: Minescape, Xpac, Surpac, Talpac
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyse project performance data related to productivity, cost & safety utilising company's standard systems in order to ensure data reliability.
- Contribute to the development of the short term detailed mine execution plans to integrate with the mining operations (utilising Surpac mine planning software).
- Monitor and coordinate engineering activities to ensure efficient production of engineering plans to meet contract program requirements.
- Analyse and identify engineering problems in order to propose solutions and expedite actions regarding the client agreement where necessary.
- Review client plans and requests to ensure the requirements defined are incorporated in the works and the responsibilities allocated under the project quality system and understood and implemented.
- Prepare data for the progress claim report to be reviewed by the Engineering Superintendent.
- Collect data related to subcontractor performance in order to prepare summary reports required for the project.
- Support and cooperate with site survey team in order to analyse progress surveys and haul profile surveys.
- Coaching and mentoring of graduate mining engineers, mining engineers and technical assistants in order to provide technical support.
- Identify hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages in order to minimise exposure to personnel and the environment.
MINE ENGINEERING SUPERINTENDENT
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Control, monitor and supervise Business Mining Process by variance in the Project mining operations to ensure production is achieved in accordance with Project parameters, Project schedule and budget and in compliance with Petrosea and Project safety and environmental policy and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor degree in Mining Engineer.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Good leadership and communication skill.
- Willing to be placed in all mining project location.
- May be required to work flexible hours to meet Project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to all mining engineering staff to ensure the safest and efficient mining operations to achieve production targets.
- Work with Senior Mining Engineer to develop weekly, monthly and shutdown schedules for inclusion in the BMP plans by the Senior Mining Engineer.
- Assist with the implementation of the BMP system through leadership of technical assistants, production of accurate and timely reports, and troubleshooting problems encountered with the system.
- Responsible to implement long term mine plans and short term detailed mine execution plans at all levels using the BMP process and to provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term mine plan.
- Assist the Mining Engineer to develop and update mine plans and production schedules in accordance with project criteria.
- Implement and manage the mining operations in accordance with the mine plan to achieve production schedules.
- Prepare timely and accurate information on project progress for inclusion in progress claims and reports prepared by the Senior Mining Engineer.
- Organize, coordinate and manage production meetings internally and with the Client and arrange for distribution of minutes.
- Responsible for the optimization and utilization of mining equipment by the Mining Supervisor to achieve production targets.
- Ensure smooth coordination between Mining operations and Maintenance to maximize availability and utilization of all mining equipment.
- Monitor and manage the performance of all mining engineering staff.
- Assist the Project Manager in the training and mentoring of personnel as required by the company.
- Assist the Project Manager in promoting the development of teamwork.

MINING FOREMAN
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Provide first level of supervision over a several mining sections of the mining production resources at the mine project to achieve the production targets and objectives of the project in accordance with the project parameters and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Min. High School graduate.
- Min 3 years as Mining Operator Lead Hand.
- Good command in English.
- May be required to work flexible hours to meet Project requirements
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to implement short term detailed mine execution plans at the position level using the BMP process and to provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term mine plan.
- Supervise the performance of operators, technicians. Lead hands and unskilled personnel in the Mining operations in the shift by shift BMP process using short term variance.
- Monitor and control mining production on an hourly basis including loading / unloading point to ensure smooth day to day operations.
- Monitor and control survey personnel in conducting survey activities.
- Responsible to mine execution plans and necessary production and safety target, understand the daily, weekly and monthly plans and targets, make sure clear understanding from subordinates.
- Communicate with workshop in regards to repairing downed equipment and assistance in a timely manner to ensure scheduled PM equipment is given to Maintenance team on time.
- Ensure strong disciplinary procedures are enforced and followed consistently, assist to manage the crew manpower and make sure the right people are in the right places doing the right things.
- Monitor dewatering activities, Pit Services and day works, these are 3 primary focus areas in and outside of the Pit, ensure these are monitored at all times.
- Minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages and Implement all safety procedures, rules and regulations and statutory regulations in accordance with the Safety Management Plan
MINING SUPERINTENDENT
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Monitor and control mining operation in term of support mining project manager to ensure production is achieved in accordance with BMP (Business Mining Petrosea), project parameters, project schedule, budget, in compliance with company's project safety and environmental policy.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor degree in mining
- Min. 8 years previous experiences in mining operation (production).
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- Familiar with mining software
- Good communication and leadership skill
- Willing to be placed in all company location
- Excellent computer skill
- Certified in POP (hold POM certificate will be a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and monitor mining operations staff on their day to day mining operation, monitor and control mining equipment usage to ensure the safest and efficient mining operations in order to achieve production targets and schedule in line with the mine plan.
- Develop and monitor weekly, monthly and shutdown schedules for inclusion in the BMP plans by the Senior Mining Engineer.
- Support and monitor the implementation of long term mine plans and short term detailed mine execution plans at all levels using the BMP process, provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis in order to enable short term control achieving the long term mine plan.
- Prepare timely and accurate information on project progress for inclusion in progress claims and reports prepared by the Senior Mining Engineer.
- Maintain communication and coordination between Mining operations and Maintenance in order to maximize availability and utilization of all mining equipment.
- Lead, coach and manage subordinate including recruitment and provide a proper development and succession plan for them, Promote and develop an open ethical work environment in order to maintain subordinate in attract, motive and retain.
- Maintain and implementing HSE programs by minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks from the planning phase of the work packages and during daily operational to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements.
MINING SUPERVISOR
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Monitor, control and supervise the mining production resources to achieve the production targets and objectives of the project in accordance with the project parameters and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- Min 4 year experience as Mining Foreman, or 3 years as Mining Supervisor
- Good communication and leadership skill
- Willing to be placed in all company location
- Good computer skill
- May be required to work flexible hours to meet Project requirements
Responsibilities:
- Minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks during the operation phase of the work packages and implement all safety procedures, rules and regulations and statutory regulations in accordance with the Safety Management Plan
- Responsible to implement short term detailed mine execution plans at the position level using the BMP process and to provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term mine plan.
- Supervise the performance of mining foremen, operators, technicians and unskilled personnel in the Mining operations in the shift by shift BMP process using short term variance.
- Identify the development and training needs of the mining foremen, operators, technicians and unskilled personnel in the mining operations for the benefit of the Project Manager
- Co-ordinate and supervise Mining production and other mining team meetings
- Assist Mining Superintendent in liaise and co-ordinate with maintenance department to optimize and maximize mining equipment availability and utilization
- Control production on an hour by hour basis and prepare timely and accurate report on project progress as required by the project.
PROJECT MANAGER
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Plan, direct and control all aspects of the Project, in accordance with company policy and procedures, in order to maximise EBIT achieved, whilst ensuring the safe delivery of all Contract requirements in a timely manner, with minimum negative impacts to the environment and local communities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Mining or Engineering preferred, but not essential (provided adequate experience)
- Has least 10 years professional experience in Mining, out of which 5 years in managerial positions
- Comprehensive knowledge of mining management principles and practices and the associated flow of design, planning and mining project management
- An understanding of the commercial aspects of Contract Mining, in particular with respect to Variations, potentials Claims (for/against) and the ability to manage contract activities avoid costly claims and litigation, whilst maximising EBIT
- Understanding of the fundamentals of effective asset and resource management to optimise outcomes
- Proactively adopts the principles of Continuous Improvement and promotes to all levels of the Project
- Ability to develop, supervise and encourage subordinates, including disciplinary action if required
- Leads by example in a professional and safe workmanlike manner
- Able to work effectively in an International environment with due respect for local customs and practices. Willing to learn Indonesian
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with Clients, subordinates, superiors and other third parties related to the Project
- Ability to develop and proactively implement effective monitoring and control systems
- Understands and actively implements Target Zero concepts
- Willing to work extended hours, if required, to meet Project targets and reporting deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements
- Plan and control the flow of work for a mining project, including estimated timeline, supplies and personnel required for completing the project to ensure that projects generate the expected business revenue according to established plan.
- Direct, control and execute the Project by conducting a kick off meeting (new project) with the Project Team, assign duties and responsibilities as detailed in the functional matrix in order to ensure project initial are well managed.
- Direct, review and analyze client specifications and documents to ensure the requirements defined are incorporated into the works and the responsibilities allocated under the project quality system are understood and implemented.
- Prepare, control and implement project budgets, mining schedules, project reporting, progress assessment and project execution plan, take personal responsibility and accountability for cash flow, receivables and return on capital of the project to ensure budget are meet with operational needs and requirements.
- Interface and coordinate subcontract activities to ensure that they will support the achievement of project aims and the support of company objectives
- Direct, monitor and utilize company's equipment efficiently, maintain schedule compliance on planned maintenance and reduce cost as appropriate in order to optimize asset utilization.
- Direct, submit and negotiate claims to settlement as required to ensure that progress claims are submitted and paid in a timely manner
- Plan, analyse and establish detailed cost forecasts, manage variations in order to close out to maximise returns in a timely manner
- Direct, control and manage all statutory permits and approvals as required to proceed with the contract to ensure all permits and formalities are complete and valid.
- Establish to maintain and manage all stakeholders interests to ensure harmonious and cooperative relationships in industrial relations, community relations and staff welfare in all aspects of the project

Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Manage, control, and give required direction for mining engineers (continuous improvement) on-sites to ensure mining improvement processes and tasks are in line with organization goal.
To ensure continuous improvement techniques and methods in order to identify, prioritize and implement opportunity for improvement in mining project are established.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Mining, Civil, Mechanical or Industrial
- At least 5 years working experience in open cut mining operations especially at Continuous Improvement section
- Strong computer skills, preference is competent using statistical software application such as MINITAB
- Strong on analytical (multi variance data) skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Willing to travel frequently to the company's mine sites
- Good understanding of Mining Business Process
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and lead change
Responsibilities:
- Promotion of HSE programmes targeting zero work related injuries and illnesses.
- Coordinate with site mining engineers (CI) to ensure improvement processes and implementations are running well in onsite
- Work as a team with mining engineers (CI) to analyse operational data (such as VHMS, PLM, VIMS, MIC, OpsDB, FMS and etc) to determine performance or cost issues and work toward solution which can be delivered to the project.
- Work in a team and set up benchmarking criteria by which improvements can be measured
- To ensure a specific method / discipline to measure the gap between current process capability with the project's goals is developed and followed up

Conducts surveys at surface and subsurface mine sites to implement mine design and obtain data used in planning mining operations including monitoring recovery, productivity and submission of progress claims align with company's policies and rules.
Requirements:

- Min. 2 years experiences as a surveyor
- Able to operate mining survey equipment

Responsibilities:
- Collect and develop survey data and maintain the database to ensure the accordance with the set of standard procedures and systems.
- Conduct field surveys in good time and accurately determine quantities necessary for the submission of monthly progress claims.
- Coordinate and liaise with both Mining Engineering and Operations to ensure that mine designs are being properly implemented in the field.
- Collect accurate daily survey and download data into the computer to ensure datas are interpreted accurately by the Survey Draftsman.
- Use and maintain survey software in order to ensure efficiency in survey activities.
- Coach and mentor Survey Assistant and provide them with skills in order to collect the survey pick-ups in the absence of a Surveyor.
