Branding and Communications Coordinator

(Singapore)

We are looking for a Branding and Communications Coordinator, based in Singapore, to support brand project management in key Rio Tinto markets and with Product Groups and Business Units as required, as well as to support the development of Rio Tinto's employer brand by partnering with relevant functions across the business.

The Media and Communications team exists to protect and enhance the corporate brand and reputation through proactive communication and engagement with key stakeholders, employees, partners and communities. The team also undertakes the strategy and implementation of the Group's media, digital and marketing communications initiatives.

What the role entails

This position is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a focussed approach to work under pressure, and who takes accountability for individual performance and development. Based in Singapore and reporting to the Principal Adviser, Business and Employment brand, you will be:

• Supporting the development of the Rio Tinto Group brand and reputation strategies, and brand identity
• Developing, managing and delivering multifaceted communications plans
• Meeting with internal clients at all levels and elaborating detailed briefs
• Working with external agencies and vendors as well as responding to internal and external clients on ad hoc brand enquiries
• Preparing, compiling and delivering presentations
• Managing expectations among multiple stakeholders
• Working on SAP processing support and expense management
• Managing project budgets and providing project progress reports
• Taking care of team administration, planning and project management including communications projects

What you will need for this role

To succeed in this exciting and challenging role, you will have:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mass communication, Corporate Marketing or Public Relations
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of implementing brand strategy
• A track record of understanding complex Business-to-Business (B2B) organisations
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask

Sourcing Specialist - Caustic Soda and Acid

We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist - Caustic Soda and Acid, based in Singapore, to be accountable for customer and supplier management including global suppliers. You will also contribute to the development and deployment of world class category strategies for category and develop operational plans in support of the overall category strategy.

This position is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to understand volatile commodity markets along with the opportunity to manage logistics. Based in Singapore and reporting to the Manager - Caustic & Sulphuric Acid, you will be:

• Developing strategic contracting strategies and engaging in supplier relationship management
• Sourcing caustic soda and acid
• Assisting in contracting matters, including negotiating various commercial terms and finalising contract documents
• Maintaining relationships with supplier and customers' personnel at relevant organisational levels
• Preparing regular and ad hoc reports on various contracting and procurement matters
• Maintaining records and databases of important communications, documents and information
• Managing category specific projects from time to time and contributing to the resolution of scheduling issues
• Evaluating the lowest delivered cost product from different suppliers in different regions
• Liaising with the Bauxite and Alumina Commercial scheduling team to stay up-to-date on caustic soda scheduling matters

What you will need for this role

To succeed in this exciting and challenging role, you will have:

• A bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant discipline
• Experience working with contracts
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation expertise
• Understanding of bulk logistics

A tertiary qualification in supply chain or engineering related discipline will be desirable.
