AEL Mining Services is a leading developer, producer and supplier of commercial explosives, initiating systems and blasting services for mining, quarrying and construction markets in Africa and Indonesia.

AEL is currently undergoing an exciting phase of growth. To support this continued growth, we are currently looking to recruit following positions:

LOGISTIC MANAGER (CODE: MGR - LOG)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage logistics activities in line with Company SH&E Policy
• Comply to International and Indonesian regulatory/statutory requirements as applicable in product logistics
• Take product stewardship related initiatives to avoid any SHE incidents
• Implement cost effective Logistics processes in order to minimise the overall Supply Chain for the Business
• Implement all transfer price and selling price decisions with suppliers and customers respectively as agreed with the Commercial and Finance teams
• Closely monitor raw material stocks at AEL sites and finished product stocks at customer magazines
• Establish and implement rolling forecast and advance order placement systems with all customers to be able to plan and deliver products on time
• Maximise customer satisfaction through effective Supply Chain and Logistics planning

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Engineering with a minimum of 8 years experience in shipping and logistic.
• Comprehensive understanding of explosive supply and logistic, mechanical engineering, production flow, shipping industry services.
• Strong planning and forecasting, process improvement, communication and influencing skills are required.
• Experience in Explosive Industry is an advantage but not requirement.
• Computer literate, intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
• Have excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, managerial and organizational skills
• English spoken & written is preferable
• Proactive, tenacity, able to work under pressure, good leadership
