COMMERCIAL ENGINEER
(Assignment: Jakarta)
Prepare, review and analyse contract document, including auditing documents for compliance and offer a legal perspective to all situations that may expose company to risk in order to enhance company's effectiveness and efficiencies in term of minimising such risk in commercial/contracts.
Requirements:
- Requires travel to Project Locations as required
- Vendor/suppliers/subcontractor meetings and visits
- Interface with commercial/legal service providers
- Audits investigations
- Risk and exposure due diligence
- Min. Bachelor Degree from Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering
- Min. 5 years experiences in contract / commercial (Civil)
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse contracts at the Tender stage, giving input to the Bid Manager regarding the contract composition/legalities and any qualifications required in order to align conditions to Petrosea contracting guidelines
- Drafting formal letters and attending negotiations of a contractual nature in order to provide logistical support to Project Managers in resolving contractual issues with the Client/vendors
- Organize and manage variations and claims to their scope of work and successfully negotiate these to settlement, including a running log of all contractual correspondence to settlement.
- Monitor and control contract implementation to ensure that the Client and Petrosea follow the contractual requirements of the contract such that Petrosea is not exposed to unnecessary costs or penalties.
- Evaluate and analyse all legal aspects of commercial documents/contracts and manage such to stay abreast of commercial change/risk
- Evaluate and conduct restructuring of internal documents to ensure all company's documents are in accordance with the Petrosea Contracting Principles and management of commercial contracts.
- Client Monthly Report (CMR) - Check accuracy and completeness of CMR. Monitor timeliness and ensure submission and circulation
DRILL & BLAST ENGINEER
(Assignment: Site)
Develop drill and blast designs, implement designs in conjunction with blasting sub-contractor and monitor drill and blast results, acknowledging inefficiencies and recommending changes accordingly to ensure high quality, cost effective and safe blasting occur.
Requirements:
- Min Bachelor degree in Mining or Geologist with Class II Blaster Certificate
- Min. 2 years previous experiences in drilling & blasting engineering
- Good communication skills in English and Indonesian, written & verbal
- Understanding applications of drill blast design and shot plus software
- Familiar with designing drill and blast, leading the team and explosives handling
Responsibilities:
- Develop, recommend and implement suitable strategies to provide optimal blasting solutions and improve blasting performance to operations.
- Ensure the drilling plan is provided in a timely manner and the drill is working productively in the most cost effective and safe manner.
- Coordinate blasting activities, lead and control blasting crew to ensure agreed mine plan is being followed.
- Analyze and communicate drilling and blasting issues to short term engineer and mining operation in order to provide technical support to site based personnel.
- Monitor and control drill and blast operations and activities in progress to ensure high standards of safety are always upheld.
DRILL & BLAST SUPERVISOR
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Execute, monitor and control the drill and blast activities of the project in order to ensure that it is completed on time and to the total satisfaction of the client whilst achieving tender profit margins and meeting the safety and quality expectations of the company.
Requirements:
- Min diploma degree in Mining, Civil Engineering or Geologist with Class Blaster Certificate.
- Min. 5 years previous experience in drilling & blasting, preferably as a supervisor.
- Good communication skills in English and Indonesian, written & verbal.
- Understanding applications of drill blast design and shot plus software.
- Familiar with designing drill and blast, leading the team and explosives handling.
- Rotation to each site conducting drilling and blasting.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with client's drill & blast engineer to plan drilling location.
- Liaise with client's surveyor to make sure drilling location.
- Establish drill & blast design and drill & blast environment treatment plan.
- Liaise with Production Staff Supervisor to prepare drill pad location.
- Ensure the job is done right the first time.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shot fire, tradesman and subordinates.
- Ensure exploder is maintained to blasting standards of safety and reliable.
- Ensure workforce is competent to conduct allotted tasks and work is conducted in safe and efficient manner.
- Collect data of drilling and blasting include record details of drill pattern, location, whole location, blast time, explosive usage and blast result.
- Build long term relationships with clients by gaining an understanding of client's strategy and upcoming projects/opportunities and demonstrating Petrosea's capacity to act as partner in helping clients achieve their strategic goals.
- Responsible for safety performance and conformance within the area of his control.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance counselling required for all direct reports.
ENGINEERING MANAGER (Constructions Project)
(Assignment: Jakarta)
Plan, direct and control the Engineering function to produce a cost effective engineered solution (including the development of appropriate Specifications) for the Project within the budgeted man hours and within the tendered timeframe by utilizing capable and appropriate resources efficiently to ensure that Procurement/Construction activities commence on time.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor degree preferably in Civil Engineering
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and procurement management principles and practices. Must possess an in depth knowledge of the Engineering and Design process as well as extensive experience in construction methods
- Experience handle several big project, such as : Power Plant, LNG, Port/Jetty
- Maximize Project margins by ensuring appropriate Technical Specifications and Codes are adopted to suit the requirements of the contract
- Min. 15 years previous experiences in Engineering with 5 yrs as a Manager. Has experience as consultant in EPC project is advantage
- Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Required to travel to site
Responsibilities:
- Be fully conversant with the contents of the Project Safety Management Plans (including Environment) and the Company policies on safety. Ensure that Safety topics are discussed with all Vendors/Subcontractors/Consultants prior to the commencement of any engineering/design activities and be vigilant in enforcing the agreed standards.
- Develop an Engineering/Design Management Plan for the Project that includes the strategy to deliver the work in accordance with the schedule parameters set by the Project Manager. This plan must be maintained and remain relevant to the function during the course of the Project.
- Develop a detailed Engineering schedule to meet the requirements of the Project. Be fully accountable for this schedule and react to any negative movements to ensure the schedule is met.
- Resource the Engineering department to ensure that the schedule can be delivered by all disciplines. Develop a back-up strategy to be able to react to the situation where the scope grows or delays begin. Understand the availability of resources or consultants to be able to react promptly to all situations.
- Ensure that all members of the Engineering Team fully understand the requirement of the Project and are familiar with the Design Management Plan and are conversant with the commercial constraints of the Project Budget.
- Interface with the Procurement function to ensure that all Technical Bid Evaluations are completed on time so that the procurement process is not delayed as a result of Engineering in decisiveness. Meet on a regular basis (more than once per week) with the Procurement Manager and plan the resource allocations to ensure schedules are met.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with all members of the Project team and offer support to all persons that request support. Pass knowledge onto your team and others in the Project so that the capability of the developed team grows throughout the life of the Project.
- Establish a comprehensive database of all Standards, Codes, and Specifications and ensure that all members of the Engineering Team are familiar with their location and the appropriate use of the information. Keep all reference material updated and current.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on the progress of the engineering phase of the Project. Identify areas of concern and the strategy to mitigate the known issues.
- Establish and maintain a detailed risk register for the engineering function and liaise with the Project Controls and Project Managers to discuss the identified risks on a regular basis.
- Establish a rigid Document Control system to ensure that all members of the Engineering team follow the approved procedures. Provide training in the use of the system and ensure that all Vendors/Fabricators submit their documents direct to the leader of the Doc Con function.
- Ensure that inter-disciplinary reviews are conducted for all aspects of the Project. Monitor the IDR process to ensure that the turn-around time for documents is known and the duration is being minimized.
- Establish an efficient Technical Query system to control all TQ's between all partners in the Project. Ensure that all subcontract Vendors/Fabricators adopt the system and it is fully utilized. Manage the TQ system and report weekly the status of all TQ's. Continually strive to reduce the TQ response time.
- Performs administrative supervisory tasks including evaluating employee performance, source necessary skills and resources based on manpower forecasts to provide managerial supports in administrative matters.
- Establish a Management of Change procedure and educate the Project Team (all departments) about it is appropriate use. Ensure the system is adopted with the use of all subcontractors to ensure that all changes are effectively managed.
- Provide a support service to the Construction phase by assigning persons to the site team and ensuring that the response time to field TQ's is minimized.
- Maintain and implementing HSE programs including Environmental Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard and requirements
MINING FOREMAN
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Provide first level of supervision over a several mining sections of the mining production resources at the mine project to achieve the production targets and objectives of the project in accordance with the project parameters and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Min. High School graduate.
- Min 3 years as Mining Operator Lead Hand.
- 3.Good command in English.
- May be required to work flexible hours to meet Project requirements
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to implement short term detailed mine execution plans at the position level using the BMP process and to provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis to enable short term control to achieve the long term mine plan.
- Supervise the performance of operators, technicians. Lead hands and unskilled personnel in the Mining operations in the shift by shift BMP process using short term variance.
- Monitor and control mining production on an hourly basis including loading / unloading point to ensure smooth day to day operations.
- Monitor and control survey personnel in conducting survey activities.
- Responsible to mine execution plans and necessary production and safety target, understand the daily, weekly and monthly plans and targets, make sure clear understanding from subordinates.
- Communicate with workshop in regards to repairing downed equipment and assistance in a timely manner to ensure scheduled PM equipment is given to Maintenance team on time.
- Ensure strong disciplinary procedures are enforced and followed consistently, assist to manage the crew manpower and make sure the right people are in the right places doing the right things.
- Monitor dewatering activities, Pit Services and day works, these are 3 primary focus areas in and outside of the Pit, ensure these are monitored at all times.
- Minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks during the planning phase of the work packages and Implement all safety procedures, rules and regulations and statutory regulations in accordance with the Safety Management Plan
MIINING SUPERVISOR
(Assignment: Kalimantan)
Monitor, control and supervise the mining production resources to achieve the production targets and objectives of the project in accordance with the project parameters and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- Min 4 year experience as Mining Foreman, or 3 years as Mining Supervisor
- Good communication and leadership skill
- Willing to be placed in all company location
- Good computer skill
- May be required to work flexible hours to meet Project requirements
Responsibilities:
- Minimise exposure to personnel and the environment by identifying hazards and risks during the operation phase of the work packages and implement all safety procedures, rules and regulations and statutory regulations in accordance with the Safety Management Plan

- Co-ordinate and supervise Mining production and other mining team meetings
- Assist Mining Superintendent in liaise and co-ordinate with maintenance department to optimize and maximize mining equipment availability and utilization
- Control production on an hour by hour basis and prepare timely and accurate report on project progress as required by the project.
OPERATIONS MANAGER (Constructions Project)
(Assignment: Jakarta)
To provide directions and manage the interface between the Project Managers and all support functions in the Jakarta Office for the day to day running of the live projects that are being undertaken by the Engineering & Construction section.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor degree preferably in Civil Engineering, from reputable local university/overseas
- Minimum 10 years professional experience in several big project, such as : Power Plant, LNG, Port/Jetty, out of which 5 years in senior managerial position.
- Managerial skill, maturity with strong in leadership capability
- Commercially astute
- Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Required to travel to site
Responsibilities:
- To ensure HSE performance is the top priorities for all operations activities.
- Support Project Managers in all functions that are undertaken to ensure that all Petrosea requirements (e.g. Project Management Plan, HSE Plan, Quality Plan, and Standard Operating Procedures) are complied with.
- Assists Project Managers by reviewing Monthly Project Reports and ensures that actions are taken to correct negative trends.
- Interface with the Client on project team and Petrosea performance matters to assure all issues are being solved and any corrective actions are taken properly.
- Communicate and interface with senior management regarding operation performance to ensure that all senior management is well informed with any project progress.
- Provide leadership and direction to operations staff.
- 7)To understand the contract Terms & Conditions and ensure that the company is not exposed to undue risks.
- To prepare and monitor detailed cost forecasts for operations to ensure budget compliance.

QUALITY MANAGER
(Assignment: Jakarta)
Develop, monitor and provide continuous improvement of a robust company-wide management system through process owners as well as manage the quality personnel availability and competencies to ensure the compliancy through the internal audit program and enhance awareness of 'quality' within company in term of maintain company's quality certification.
Requirements:
- Min bachelor degree in Engineering
- Min 10 (ten) years of experience in Quality positions, with supervisory or management roles
- Good knowledge on Quality Management Tools (e.g. TQM, QCC, SPC, Balance Scorecard, etc.) and disseminate through Project Quality Management System
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Good communication skill
- Willing to travel to other work location or project sites as and when required
Responsibilities:
- Analyse and review the tender document for define tender requirement in order to develop tender input based on specific requirement and referred to previous approved best practices.
- Establish, develop and improve Quality Management System, Project Quality Plan (PQP) and other QA/QC documentation, plan and implement project inspection and source QA/QC personnel to fill in the roles in order to promote the implementation of Quality Management System.

The purpose of risk management function is to safeguard Petrosea, its customers, reputation, assets and the interests of stakeholders by identifying and managing all threats to the achievement of its business objectives
Support the Commercial manager for all aspects of the risk management program. Responsibilities include facilitating the identification of risks throughout Petrosea, developing, reporting and monitoring formats on risk management issues and developing methodologies for the assessment of risks throughout the organization.
