CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

PT Endeavor Resources NTT (Endeavor) requires the services of an experienced field-based geologist for its exploration projects in West Timor (manganese) and Flores (gold/ base metals), and also has a substantial exploration budget for 2014, including drilling programs at both sites.

GEOLOGY MANAGER

Endeavor is now seeking an experienced geologist to plan, implement and manage the field exploration programs, reporting to the Head of Exploration. For this role you will be required to travel to both West Timor and Flores on a roster basis, with some time required in the Jakarta head office.

Specifically, the role will require the following:

• Management and supervision of all field exploration programs, to be completed in a timely, technically sound and a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
• You will be required to effectively organise and manage the technical staff, consultants and technical support.
• Effectively manage the collation of all exploration data collected, interpret the results and plan, recommend and budget for new exploration programs.
• Prepare management and exploration reports.
• Supervise the training of geological staff as required.

The role will require you to have the following attributes:

• Strong and decisive manager of people who is prepared to actively manage and motivate your staff to ensure the timely and proficient completion of programs.
• A qualified geologist with a technically strong background and at least 10 years experience in gold, base metals and/or manganese exploration with the ability to interpret integrated exploration data to a high level and strong knowledge of exploration techniques.
• Priority will be given to candidates that can demonstrate a successful track record in the management of significant exploration projects, including drilling programs.
• Overseas experience will be highly regarded, but not essential.

SENIOR GEOLOGIST

For this role, you will be required to travel to both West Timor and Flores on a roster basis, with the majority of the work initially focussed in West Timor. The role will report to the Geology Manager.

Specifically, the role will require the following:

• Management and implementation of field exploration programs, to be completed in a timely, technically sound and a safe and environmentally friendly manner, including geological mapping, geophysical, drilling and other appropriate programs.
• Collate exploration data collected and interpret the results of exploration programs and assist in the understanding of the geological setting of mineralisation.
• Plan, recommend and budget for new exploration programs based on results of current programs.
• Assist in the supervision and training of junior geological staff as required.

The role will require you to have the following attributes:

• You must be a qualified geologist with a technically strong background and at least 7 years experience partly in gold, base metals and/or manganese exploration.
• Strong technical skills, including the ability to interpret integrated exploration data to a high level and strong knowledge of exploration techniques and mineralisation environments.
• A strong work ethic and desire to be a senior member of a successful exploration team.
