PT Kelian Equatorial Mining (KEM) is an Indonesian incorporated Company owned 90% by Rio Tinto and 10% by PT Harita Jayaraya of Indonesia. KEM operates a large open pit gold mine and processing facility at Kelian, 210 km North West of Balikpapan in East Kalimantan. KEM, one of Indonesian's most progressive mining operations seeks applicants for:

Process Plant Security Supervisor

Qualifications:

1. Minimum level of education is Senior High School (SMA) but preference will be given to persons with Tertiary qualifications especially in Electronics.
2. A minimum of 5 years experience in a security and/or leadership role.
3. Experience with the repair and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment.
4. Good oral and written English skills.
5. Able to work as part of team and train new security guards.
6. Highly motivated with commitment to safety and good leadership skills.
7. The ability to communicate with staff at all levels within the organisation.
8. Minimum age 30 years.
9. Minimum height 160 cm.

Responsibilities include:

1. Responsible for the implementation of health and safety systems in the Process Plant Security section.
2. Implementing the security training programs.
3. Regular inspection/supervision of security guards, ensuring that all procedures are followed.
4. Operation of electronic access control, alarm and surveillance systems.

Conditions:
Kelian site operates on a 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off roster with return to point of hire for rest periods. The position will involve working shift work.
