SMART’s palm oil plantation cover more than 138,000 hectares (including smallholder farmers). Our primary activities are cultivating and harvesting oil palms, processing fresh fruit bunches (FFBs) into crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel and refining CPO into value-added products such as cooking oil, margarine, and shortening. 1. Resident Engineer – Kalimantan Area

Selection Criteria :

1. Minimum working experience of 8 years
2. Minimum education level of Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Electrical Engineering
3. Willing to be placed at project site (full time with no roster system)
4. Able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
5. Good communication skill in English
6. Good Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Power Point), and Microsoft Project Skills
7. Good project management and construction management skills
8. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Good leadership and interpersonal skill

 

2. Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and support Project Engineer and all subordinates performance periodically and recommend and take actions for continuous improvement.
• Oversee the research and development of new programs and procedures, designs and implements Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), Working Instruction, cost effective, safety and reliability to help improve quality program.
• Ensure planning, scheduling and cost control for department are in accordance with target set by management.
• Implement OHSE & Sustainability standards and procedures in all project sites, in line with the Company standards, vision and mission.
• Facilitate decision-making by reviewing relative impacts, functional inputs and recommended actions to be taken for timely completion of all projects with minimum defects, Zero Fatality and Zero Loss Time Injury (LTI) at work place.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Min. 5 years of experiences in Project Management as Project Manager
• Strong leadership and capable of working under pressure and deadlines

 

3. Process Engineer – 8 Vacancies

JS:
Research, develop, and implement industrial processes from raw materials that result in the desired final products within the manufacturing process. Solve organizational and production related problems efficiently using the fundamentals of design, engineering / quality tools, data analysis, and technology. Implementing new processes and technologies to accommodate new product instructions, increase capacity, improve efficiency, and reduced costs. Ensure manufacturing process is in accordance with improved quality, increased output, improved efficiency, and decreased downtime to improve profitability.

JD:

1. Identify opportunities to optimize and standardize products and processes and initiate plans that drive improved performance.
2. Create proposals, and create design for potential project in improving manufacturing process, and effectively communicate idea to upper management level.
3. Provide technical assistance to operating departments to implement changes for process improvements.
4. Maintain quality service by following organization quality system standards within the manufacturing process, including material handling improvements, and safety procedures.
5. Compete duties assigned by upper management level.
6. Analyze data from various sources within the manufacturing process to identify trends in build quality and efficiency.
7. Responsible for diagnosing situational-operational problems found within manufacturing process and drive corrective action, recommending remedial measures.
8. Ensure proper execution by monitoring personnel in On-the-Job training and operating procedures.

4. Mechanical Engineer, Designer, and Drafter

They provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and products, ranging from small component designs to extremely large plant, machinery or vehicles.

Job Description

1. Design system and components that meet needs and requirements.
2. Developing, testing, and evaluating theoretical designs.
3. Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
4. Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; conforming fabrication, assembly and installation processes.
5. Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety, and time constraints.
6. Producing details of specifications and outline designs.
7. Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
8. Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and estabilished procedures; requesting special services.

 

Mechanical Drafter

Job Description Summary
Responsible for creating and preparing detail working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information.

Job Description

1. Design and prepare plans for using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software.
2. Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery.
3. Check dimensions of material to be used and assign numbers to the materials.
4. Design the parts of a machine.
5. Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
6. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.

Selection Criteria :

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.

5. Electrical Engineer, Designer, and Drafter

Job Description
DUTIES

1. Prepare instrumentation specifications PLC control panel design and Scada
2. develop scope of works using P&ID specification and project requirement to specify and complete instrument and control
3. Develop hardware & software programming for control systems
4. Attend to emergency calls made by factories for advice or site investigations
5. Conduct technical discussion/sharing with factory personnel

RESPONSIBILITIES (GROUP MILLS)

1. Ensure the design procedure is in accordance with the applicable standards
2. Ensure the implementation of the design in accordance with a predetermined schedule
3. Ensuring every instrument design done securely, economically, and applicable on site
4. Ensure that the instrumentation and control systems at sites are in good operating conditions
5. Identify defects, shortcomings & control systems & submit recommendations for improvement
6. Improve instrumentation knowledge and skills of factory personnel via technical sharing.

Electrical Drafter

• Possess good basic knowledge in electrical engineering

CSA Engineer & Designer

Job Description

1. Support civil/structure engineer to create detail drawings
2. Determine bes materials and methods
3. Provide solution and revision during construction period
4. Ensure design procedures and design drawings in accordance with applicable rules
5. Ensure the implementation of design and design drawings in accordance with predetermined schedule
6. Ensure that every civil design and drawing is safe made, economical and workable in the field.
7. Ensure design procedure fulfill all principle & standard Civil Engineering regulation & code
8. Ensure all drawing & specification can be accomplished on schedule
9. Ensure every design safe, economic & can be constructed in the site
10. Give advice and recommendation to other party if required

CSA Drafter

Responsible for creating and preparing drawings and relief maps used in Civil / Architecture Engineering projects such as buildings, highways, bridge, pipelines, flood-control projects, and water and sewerage systems.

Job Description

1. Design and prepare plans for using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software.
2. Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects.
3. Add structural details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques.
4. Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new building projects.
5. Calculate weights, volumes, and stress factors and their implications for technical aspects of designs.
6. Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages using blueprinting, photography or other duplicating method

Selection Criteria :

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Material Science) or equivalent.
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Able to read drawing Technical.
• Obligated to be able to use 3D/4D Design (Revit BIM).

7. Instrument Engineer

8. Energy & Sustainability Specialist – Boiler Inspector

Selection Criteria :

• Bachelor’s in mechanical/metallurgy & material/energy/electrical/chemical/process engineering
• Min 5 year of experiences in the area of boiler fabrication
• Willing to travel to plantation area
• Placement in Jakarta

 

9. Mechanical Maintenance

Job Description :

• Provide guidance by coaching and mentoring production, PPIC, and administration assistant in an appropriate manner, towards a desired direction to complete the activities and task. Able to coordinate and motivate the overall team members in getting things accomplished.
• Prepare and approve inspection or visit schedules for subordinates in regards to completion of tasks and activities within the department.
• Examine and verify inventory as well as production plans along with production and PPIC assistants and support sales forecast as well as achieving financial object.
• Develop financial strategic planning in budgeting, and manage cost saving in accordance to assure quality and costs in the completion of activities.
• Promote risk management to avoid and minimize risks of decisions taken.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and annual report of the department to Division Head.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with relevant third parties / vendors.
• Take account of financial matters, such as budget, quarterly forecast, monthly reports, and headcount tracking.
• Carry out other duties as directed by upper management level.

• Min Bachelor Degree in Engineering

• Having experience in construction processes, ability to interpret engineering drawing
• Understand the operation process on Palm Oil facilities or similar industries

• Monitor and controlling progress report on site
• Update construction master schedule based on actual progress
• Assist Construction Manager to prepare weekly construction progress report
